If by "hairs" you mean pistils, pistils do not transform into resin sacks and while many will change color and recede or partially change color and partially recede by the time a plant is fully ripe, not all strains pistils will change color and recede by the time plants are fully ripe. Matanuska Tundra is one example of a strain where most to all pistils will still be white and standing up when the plant is fully ripe and ready to be harvested.

Dude when you are trying to learn something there is no such thing as a stupid question. Weed is a tricky plant to grow and any questions you have about any or all aspects of growing is a good question. That is what this site is for.

To many people believe there is a once size fits all answer for each and every growing question. Some ask questions and expect a 100% across the board answer to be available and some read questions and believe what they know to be true, or maybe only believe to be true, about some strain or strains is how things are and always will be for each and ever strain.

Because of the vast number of semi/fairly genetically similar crosses out today some general things will work/answer a goodly number of situations/questions. But in most cases there are distinct exceptions to those semi-rules.

Even though new and less experienced growers want and expect them and thrive on them there are relatively few across the board answers to questions that are in fact correct.
