A Real Grow that I Made Up: Super Skunk

Im on week 5 now and will be taking more pics today to share, as far as the pics i already posted those are in week 3 and week 4.
Yes this is a aeroponics system with constant watering and no fog or misters on the roots. Thanks for the replies and ill post more later today.
Keep up the good work

Looking great legasaurs, what week are you at? Is that an aeroponic system you're running? Plants look very similar, your internode spacing seems a little tighter which is a plus for you. I've noticed that the Super Skunk's leaves fold inwards a bit in a way that the Maple Leaf was much more broad and flat. I see it in your pictures and as these ladies are getting older I am noticing it in them as well.

Great grow!
Good luck!

Legasaurs,
Let me give you a word of advice real quick. And I say this not to be a dick but because I did the same thing when I joined the site about 6 months back and I want to help you out;-) You should start your own grow journal instead of posting in tomciv's. He may not mind but it's a lot easier for other readers if there's only one grow going on at a time so you could be getting a lot more help and feedback with your own journal. Just give it a title like "WHITE LABEL SUPER SKUNK, LOTS OF PICS, TAKE A LOOK!!!" Then go to an image hosting site like photobucket and you'll be able to put huge pictures within the text of your posts. Looks like this:

You'll have tons of subscribers. I promise I'll be the first one there.8)

PM me if you have any problems starting a thread or using photobucket. But I might not be back online until later tonight.:peace::bigjoint:

tomciv,
Plants look great. It doesn't look to me like the heat is a problem. They look just like my plants at day 15 and my growroom stays between 70 and 75. You notice any difference from your first grow when it was cooler? I'm curious because I've got a new veg closet setup and the temps get into mid 80's. I don't like it but from the looks of your plants it'll be okay. Keep it up and show those mites who's boss!!!

Get this shit - mis-id'd the mites, they are thrips. Reading up, seems like less of a problem than mites, still dangerous. You can see these guys with the naked eye, they look like yellow/brown pencil lead. I killed all I could see...made a mixture of neem oil / mild dish soap / and warm water, sprayed EVERYTHING top to bottom, made sure to get undersides of leaves on all plants. Put on a little collar on the infected guy so that eggs can't go into the soil and thrips in the soil can't come up to the plants. Can't really move the plant out of the grow room as I have no where to put it, here's to hoping this works...

Temps have really settled down, I did notice a difference in growth when it was up in the high 80's, didn't stop but definitely slowed. Back to normal now that they are in 70s, low 80's.

Thanks for checking back in - that pic you posted for legasaurs is fantastic, one of yours?

Started LST'ing three of the plants, we'll see how it goes - you can check out the pics below. Just used some tacks and pipe cleaners for tie downs. See any problems, let me know!

Still haven't watered yet with ferts, probably a day or two more. Soil still just a tad moist.

As you can read above, have some thrips, cleaned all plants will a neem oil/soap/water spray. Will spray will plain water tomorrow to give them a rinse. Will spray again will neem mix in 3 days, repeat until I don't see thrips for a week. I have only seen maybe 5, but I just don't know how many I am not seeing. Damage isn't that bad, bad enough to be noticeable though. I can't get rid of plant, no place to put it - hope it doesn't spread, will continue to monitor. I put a little collar on it for a barrier between plant and soil (heard that helps to prevent traveling of thrips).

Otherwise, plants are looking great! The deformed plant now has some siamese leaf shit going on....so weird, but it seems healthy enough, no yellowing or anything, just bizarre leaf formation. There are two distinct phenotypes so far, the shorter, squat plants and the lankier ladies.

LST, cool. I've been thinking of trying it myself but my flower room is tall enough for my plants to grow to 6' so I never bothered. I've seen some cool pics though. Plants growing sideways or twisted completely in a loop. That pic I posted is from my first grow which began when I joined this site 6 months ago. That's the one with no odor. The strain is called White Lady and even though no one has ever heard of it, it rules! So easy to grow and as you can see it just drips with trichomes. I believe it is a cross of White Widow and First Lady but info on this strain is hard to find.

I hope Legasaurs didn't think I was telling him to get the hell out of here. I just want to help him start a journal like someone helped me. Starting my journal was the best decision I made for my plants. You can still see that journal by clicking the link in my sig. You'll find it starts off a couple weeks into the grow because I was posting in someone else's journal before that. Then it goes on for about a bajillion pages until now. Fast forward to the end to see my second round of White Lady clones in late flower plus I've just sprouted some Super Skunk, Bubblicious, and Jock Horror. Now that's how you hijack a thread:twisted:

Also wanted to mention that in my first grow I ended up with only two flowering females. Started with ten plants - long story. One of the two females was the deformed runt of the litter from the very beginning, a lot like your siamese plant. She ended up yielding close to 4 oz and mothered three clones, none of which were deformed. So don't count your siamese retard plant out. It could still be a good one:weed: :peace:

Plants got their first fert feeding last night. 2 tbl/g Big Bloom & 2 tsp/g Grow Big (I hope) with ph'd water. The next watering will probably be a flush. No nute burn signs, will keep an eye out (small chance I mismeasured Grow Big and did tablespoons, not teaspoons...) High mistake, hopefully plants will forgive if that is the case.

Haven't noticed any thrips, will spray will Neem Oil mixture tomorrow to keep up routine. They all got a heavy mist of plain water yesterday to help rinse.

LST'd plants did what they were supposed to and grew back towards the light. I am brought them a little closer to the soil today as a buddy said you have less chance of snapping if you bend them in small increments.

Temps were right around 77 all day today, wonderful.

Check out these artificial pics from yesterday and today(especially the deformed plants, siamese leaves and all...)

Looks great. They're really taking off now. One tablespoon is three teaspoons if I remember correctly. That's pretty strong. I always flush at the first hint of trouble. Sometimes I flush just because I haven't done it in awhile. Good to clean out the system every now and again. I don't know if you got any burn in your last grow but keep an eye out for rusty colored spots.

I peeped in on them this morning, seemed ok...a little nervous myself, but will flush at the first sign of trouble.

How are your kids doing? Updates?

Alright, you asked for it.

That pic I posted before is from a couple months ago.

Right now I have six clones from that original White Lady plant in week 7 flower.

In my veg closet I have two clones of the clones and also 5 new sprouts. 2 Bubblicious, 2 Jock Horror, 1 Super Skunk.

can any1 help me in flowering stage and leafs turning yellow i have laid of with the water but no change
Should not try to hijack someones thread/grow journal. Try posting a new thread in the NEWBIE section. And to try and answer your question, i guess yellowing is not bad depending on how long they have been flowering its normal for the leaves to turn yellow later in flowering, if they are still young and have a ways to go your plant may have a deficiency of some kind there are many that is also a great STICKY under the plant help section. Good luck!
