A Room With a VIEW - Don't Fear the Rippers!

Final Phase

Never been ripped - Don't think that's going to happen with all these precautions....
Line of defense:

1. Big dog inside house to alert people trying to breakin through door locked on outside - bolted from the inside.

2. 4 night vision cameras covering only way in.

3. Heat vent can be lifted in a second...DSCN1964.JPG

Giving a room with a view!

One last thing - There is now an entry to slip down from a second floor room from a closet and be standing in the garden two floors below in 10 seconds.

In the past when the plants went into flowering I would loose sleep over the idea I'd get ripped off.
I'm a very blessed/lucky man because I sleep good every night now.

I can so relate to all growers that loose sleep over their grows!

I really like that, wish I had a basement. I live in a town where that never happeneds so I feel safe.

Cameras are useless unless you know your ripper. The dog is good except for the bugs that will ride in on its fur. I hate to leave the house the closer it gets to harvest. Not so much worried about rippers as much about home invasion, from either cops or robbers.

Right about the cameras... I just like them as a deterrent... My lady friend likes to watch it night for "Bear Watch."

Good for you, bro. I've never even thought about being ripped off, because no one irl knows about my grow. I only fear something going wrong, like a fire or a car crashing into my place, and the cops finding it accidentally. But that's the risk I'm willing to take. Glad you can sleep better...

So is that a basement floor i see? Straight into dirt? Let's see this prison hole escape through the closet deal.,is there an area rug?please say there it's an area rug with a hatch..maybe you part the clothes in the back of the closet and a fire pole!?

Anything can happen, but I've been growing here for 13 yrs. Sheriff dept. cleared the entire grow 2 months ago. Chop begins one week apart in 8 days!

This entry was made 3 yrs. ago. I plan on living here another 20+ years so it may as well have an easy access when it's raining or snowing outside...

Dirt floor... Real nice for growing and no problem with spilling a little water now and then...

Dude dirt floor indoors is very interesting. Now all you need is a way for decent sun with supplemental lighting..

So jealous of the dirt floor, just want that to be clear! I have a tall crawlspace under my house, wonder if I could utilize it..

I know of a house with a 5' tall crawlspace. I never thought of growing plants in that dirt tho.

Itd be a drag to replace the dirt in the crawlspace as you cant stand all the way up. Id have to go outside everytime to get to my plants though. Cant cut a hole, least it wouldnt be a good idea.

If I end up with the place- and I might, it's in the family- my plan is to simply finish digging out the damn basement, like should have been done when the house was built.. Then I'd have over 2000 ft² to do whatever the Fuck I want with!

I live in at 5,000 feet. The Ace Hardware here started selling just about everything you need to grow indoors/outdoors about 5 years ago. Thirteen years ago all Ace sold was a mercury vapor bulb for street lighting - sucked big time... Now, the full works! Many people growing up here due to the way the houses are built - most all have an unfinished dirt floor.

About 20 years ago I bought a 100 year old home, right in town. It was the original farm house for a 100 acre olive orchard. Olives are all gone, the city swallowed them up. It has a full daylight basement with a concrete floor & 2" drain. They just don't build them like this anymore. We use it as a nursery to start plants for our farm up in the hills...currently I have 60 plants on 24/7, ready to re-plant into our greenhouse as soon as the fall harvest is complete, for a 3rd greenhouse crop this year.
