A serious warning to all those who vend in San Jose

As of now, on Oct. 27th all dispensaries in the city limits of San Jose will be shut down due to a new city ordnance. They will be allowed to re-apply for permits to operate but only 10 dispensaries will be permitted in San Jose out of the ~140 clubs currently open. The dispensaries have all pitched in and are fighting this through a voter initiative, but it's uncertain if they will be be successful.

If you are a vendor in San Jose, I would advise you NOT to give them anything on consignment and if you do have anything on consignment there insist that you either get paid before the 27th or get your medicine back.

Be careful out there!

I went to San Jose for work this week and didn't bother trying to go into a dispensary. It seemed like everyone was down about it down there. Just means they are going to have to go to Newark/Fremont now. LOL

If you're ever around that area you should check out angels care in Santa Clara. I hear their Vortex, lemon thai kush, pineapple express, La confidential, and grapefruit are fantastic ;)

If anyone is interested in this sort of thing there is another cannabis event at the cow palace in SF on Oct 8-9th where most of the San Jose dispensaries will be selling off all their product at VERY competitive prices. Sort of like a city wide going out of business sale.

Yeah my cousin took a trip up to Santa Clara from here in Fresno. He brought me back some of that LA Confidential which was some great stuff. I've been wanting to make a road trip over to San Jose to visit some of the stores over there.

I live in Fremont and I am only aware of a single location in Newark, none in Fremont.

I traveled to San Jose for most of MMJ purchases. I was fortunate to be able to have a successful backyard harvest that will last me well into the next year. These closures are going to hurt and effect so many people. I am really pissed to say the least...

With that said I found that Harborside Health Center and Elemental Wellness are my hands down favorites. Professional yet pricey but you get what you pay for being that their medicines are all lab tested.

$200k and 50k signatures later it looks like the dispensaries may be able to stay open. The sigs were turned in today. It's still not a sure thing. It's possible that revoking this city counsel ordinance now makes all dispensaries illegal because there is no designated zoning for them. But that's a civil issue, not criminal. That means clubs can stay open but the city could potentially fine them every day. It's not over yet, but it's looking good.
