Sorry about the doubled post. What did they see that caused them to raid you?

I live in a very unforgiving area. I used yo be paranoid, but have found ways to cover and hide everything. From sound proofing, light proofing, odor control and fire safety. I have 3 fire extinguishers handy, co2/fire alarm outside my grow, etc...

Only once did I tare down a grow, and stopped for a couple years. My wife and I were going through hard times. Constantly argueing. At the time, i was not worried about stealth, as our grow was in a walk-in closet in our bedroom. (Who goes in our bedroom but us, right?).

Well our argueing one night was quite loud, so the neighbors decided to call the police. We were in the bedroom and never heard as they entered the house. They stormed the bedroom, and were in there for over an hour questioning us and what not. The whole time, one of the officers was standing right next to the closet. All of the extention cords running under the door, and a dryer vent cut through the wall blowing exhaust right on him! Nothing was ever said, but I figured better safe then sorry!

My friend stopped by my house the other day when i wasn't home. He described a truck that sounds like maintenance. When i got home my grow room was unlocked. I'm not sure if i left it unlocked or if someone else did. Either way better safe than sorry.

Those types of people are the worst. They wanna be freeloaders and try to use crap as leverage. That was probably her plan all along and she was going to try to ride it out as long as she could. Try and take advantage and whatnot. You might wanna play it cool for a minute and for sure change the locks though.

How do cops, or anyone else for that matter, just walk into your homes?? Don't you have locks on your doors? And I don't want to hear "We live in (fill in) the country, a good neighborhood, surrounded by family, etc,etc." You have a grow op going, possibly illegal. If you don't take proper security protocols, you get what you deserve. I live in a very safe, suburban neighborhood and I have a lock and deadbolt on all exterior doors, a lock on the door leading to the room where my grow is, and a lock on the grow, as well as locks on every individual room in the house, but that was like that when I moved in. Someone would have to kick in 3 doors before getting to it. Shit, I don't even open doors to talk to police, just opening your door is legally considered allowing them entrance to your house. On the handful of times they have come to my house over the last 20yrs, I always make a point of meeting them out in the yard, I don't even let them near my house or garage, and that was before i grew. Never trust 'em.

I changed the locks before she moved out. It was the only way to get her to find somewhere else to stay. That was a year ago and havent heard anything from the police. One of her friends did break into my house thinking i wouldnt call the police because of the grow. I called the police and thought i was going to jail but somehow they didnt say anything aboit the dank smell in my back yard. I like to think he smelled it and just left me alone because i called them as a victim.

Are you black? The police watched me for a month straight on someones word had at least 2 informants I thought where my friends try to get me on tape, my guess is you got loose lips and shady friends. I don't care if your my best friend you talk funny I get mad.
