about to start my first grow

there are only a few more things i need but i have some questions.

1. i am about ot buy some nutrients to feed my plants with. i was planning on getting iguana juice. would that be enough nutrients? or should i buy more than one kind?

2. how often do i give the plant nutrients? every time i water? every week?

3.i am making my own pc grow box. and i still need the right lights. since it is a small box, can i use lower watt lights. i was to buy hps and mh and switch them when the flowering and growing stages change. can i use a lower watt buld since its inside a computer?

4. last do any large chain store sell small fans. i need a small one to fit inside the computer. or even 2 so i can have intake and exhaust.

good day there, first off i think you better look around the FAQ section some.....

1. i havn't used that brand of nutz, we all have our own flavors, it's your own choice... if possible find a hydro store and tell him you gonna grow tomatoe's, he'll know what ya mean, don't be too shy with them, they want your money so they'll help ya, and if no hydro store help, then look around at Journals with good success rates and get that kinda fertz...

2. in the FQA, but if your using soil it's good to do a 1 fert feeding/ 2 water feedings/ 1 fert/ 2 water
and you should also use a Half strength fert mix the first few times as well.....

3. In a PC Case..... FORGET HPS and MH! you Can't use ether of them for it, you'll cook the plants proper in bout 10 mins! if you goin with that grow room idea, you gotta use CFL's, i don't use any but the are lotza peeps here who do, and it's in the FAQ too....

4. go to your local depote, hardware store, wallymart.... or a PC parts store, member you are using a pc case, what are ya goin to do with the power supply!, it's very eacy to use a computer power supply alone and outa the case.... not sure if it's in the FQA, but should be and if not i'll explain it for ya, it's eacy and all ya need is a paper clip to make it work!

1: It depends on the ratio of NPK, and as I've never used iguana juice, I'm not sure how good it would be.
2: Don't fertilize until it's got it's first 5 fingered leaves, at least. Start low on the fertilizer, I'd recommend about 1/4 strength of what the label says to begin with, but again it depends on the NPK ratio.
3: Epix was right, you can't use HID's inside a computer case, I made one and used flourescents - HID's will cook your plants inside a pc case.
4: You can wire up computer fans to 9V chargers - for example a phone charger. Make sure the voltage of the charger is less than or equal to the voltage written on the fan and that the charger is DC, not AC. It's pretty easy to do - get a computer fan and a charger, strip about 1/2 inch of plastic casing off the end of all the wires, then simply connect the red wire on the fan to the red wire on the charger, and ditto for the black wires. 1. Well i dont know how much ou are getting but you need enough nutrients to feed a plant later on in the stages, no nutrients when they are small ass them about 2-3wks later. Also hav in mind that when flowering plants can drink gallons of water so you need enough for a couple of gallons.

2. Yes water them with nutrients mixed in the water, but later in the veging period

3. The watt does not really matter, you should aim for above 20watt bulbs. What you are looking for is lumens because thats how much light is emmited to the light. More lumen means better plants. Also there are to types of CFL's (SPIRAL BULBS) which you shoudl use, For veging you should get Daylight bulbs with at least 5500K but 6500K is best. For flowering you should get warm white or soft white bulb with 2700K. OVerall make sure you have lots of lumen in the grow. Have at least 6500 LUmen but more is best

4. Yeah Target has some small fans. They cost like $8. But i think you should use PC fans because that is what i am using. Find out how to use powersupply
