HI!

PLEASE ADVISE! Newbie here.

Have yet to set up!
Purchased AC Infinity 2x2x72” kit for $450 on Amazon. Came w/S22 ionboard (100w).
Purchased ionboard S33 (240w) light separately.
organic: 1/3 NLS with FFOF, 2/3 FFOF. FFHF for seedling
WATER ONLY, seed to harvest.
Plant seed directly into 5 gal fab pot. Solo cup full of FFHF in middle of fab pot for seed.
Have all the tools needed to adjust grow environment.
Bluelab PH pen. What is the best digital meter to keep in soil at all times for PH and PPM?
So, no need to let water runoff? It’ll take away nutes?
Water? Still worried about watering too much!
light: Is it best to use lux meter?

My apologies for asking so many questions. Not trying to be lazy. Got many many months researching!

Me personally I don’t water to runoff unless there is an issue or I’m just curious about the ph. I read somewhere that you can create an excess of nutrients that are not as quickly utilized by the plants.

Your off to a good start there! Just beware that 240w will require a good bit of dimming in a 2x2, but will provide exceptional coverage.

I only runoff in Coco or when I've got a specific issue in soil, like a drench for pests or a peroxide drench if roots seem suspect. You'll leech certain nutrients quickly running off amended soils regularly.

Thanks! Def don’t want to lose nutrients.

So…dimming the 240w will depend on lux reading? Was hoping to start light at 30” above seedling.

Yep, even at 30" you'll need to dim it well down. I'm running a 240w board in a 2x4 dimmed down to 200w. It's at 26" now for 45k lux and the plants are nearly 5 weeks old. The board was dimmed down to 150w and at 30" to get 25k lux when they were seedlings, and my tents twice the size.

In a 2x2 you'll be seeing far higher intensities at the same wattage. You will however have good coverage.

I sincerely appreciate the insight. Very nice for 5 weeks

I had good results in a 2x2.5" gorilla with less than around 150w. Good airflow is key in a tent that small.
Good luck with your grow

Thank you. Did you grow more than one plant? Not sure what kind of yield to expect. Hoping 60 grams

240 watts of LED lighting is way to much for a 60x60 cm tent unless your running Co2. Dimming it will increase efficiency and will work just fine, Try for around 150 watts at the upper end and it'll do just fine, I'd err on the side of caution when relying on the dimmer for power numbers until you measure it against a kilawatt meter... Best of luck to you :)

If your waterings on point and your environment is acceptable you could pull 60g with 30-40w worth of decent LED...you will get around 1-1.5g per watt as an average grower and 1.5 and up if everything is spot on. I've pulled 117g in a 2x2 with 90w worth of household globes previously.

I've averaged 1.4-1.6g per watt so far with quality lighting, and there's definitely room for improvement.

That’s a nice haul. 117g is a lot
