AC Infinity Fan/Filter Not Containing Odor

Inside Tent = 6x24 Terrabloom Filter --> AC Infinity 6" Fan (set on 2) ---> 6x18 AC infinity Filter (Outside Tent)

Zero smell outside the tent. Makes your eyes water when you open it up. Temps and humidity stay pretty flat. 5 degree jump when my LED is on but still sitting around 78 degrees with 40% humidity. Drops to 70-72 when the light is off.

In my old place I was able to vent outside and used a way oversized Can-Filter-50 on a 4" Can-Fan. Thing was a beast and lasted a few years.. Just took up a lot of space in the tent.
 
the standard 4x8 mesh in filters has a lot of air gaps. i replaced my charcoal in my refillable filter with 12x40 mesh and it scrubs a lot better even at higher fan speeds. yes, the cfm is lower, but that is because the air is being filtered through tighter gaps in the charcoal. works for me
 
If you have a basement? Exhaust into the main waste/sewer line...... Your neighbors will thank you, lol. Even better right next to a gas furnace/ water heater get "free" co2 bump.

You got some good tips though op, slow exchange, keep rh in check, double up on the pathway, upgrade to a better filter with thicker carbon media.

I came here to ask the same thing. I have the same fan/filter setup in two tents (one is peppers) - and I vent into my backyard under my deck using a dryer exhaust vent setup. I can smell skunk when I'm outside in the backyard and depending on which way the wind blows, sometimes in the front yard.
It's legal to smoke in NY now so I'm not super worried about it (still about a year and a half from legal grow), but I would like it to be no smell. When you add another filter to the exhaust like suggesting - on my setup it would be outdoors. That isn't ideal is it?

no in your case a bigger capacity carbon filter would be better imo
 
Get some metal HVAC tape and seal everything up proper. Unmetered/unfiltered air may be escaping through the fan without going through the filter. I've never used AC infinity, but I used a 4" Vivosun with a 2x4 ft tent. No smell until I opened the tent. The shitty thing was I run high powered lights and it was nowhere near enough to cool the tent.
 
I built my carbon scrubber, and built it WAY oversized but it absolutely kills 100% of the smell. My buddy uses a can-lite filter and has the same results, matter of fact mine works better. Difference is when my carbon is used up, I can buy a 55lb bag of activated carbon from a local supply and refill as needed.

It’s modeled based off of the can-filter design, but basically: uses some duct reducers, start collars, metal screen material, duct tape, duct sealer, foil tape, some fish tank filter fiber material and some giant HVAC zip ties that I had lying around. You can make it whatever size you wanted to fit your needs. The carbon bed winds up being about 1.5 - 2 inches thick.
Mine is 10” diameter at its widest point with an 8” opening and is about 40” in length altogether. It’s massive… I’ve used it for 3 grows already including stinky drying buds and you couldn’t smell anything whatsoever.

I can’t find the design that I used, but I drew something up quickly that can hopefully help some people out!

EDIT: I used hardware cloth underneath the screen material for rigidity, otherwise it would be floppy..

Do you have to exhaust outside? I always exhaust into the same room the tent sits in, but I've never had more than 700 watts of light. If you can exhaust inside, you could just have a huge filter sitting on the floor between the two tents and push air into that.
 
Glad to be reading this thread as I've just come to use a filter. I payed a lot of attention to fan specs, tent size, filter specs and according to the comments here, I'm glad i did. My end result is no smell. My point- there is more to it than putting a fan / filter combo in a tent. check it all out and i guess if anyone reads this and feels confused - make a post and ask for help.
