AC or Dehumidifier or both?

I've never had a big issue with this in the past but a new grow area has given me some new challenges. Damn it July has been the wettest on record. Humidity is the Bain of my life right now. With a dehumidifier running constantly I can only get it to 70% during lights off and 60% lights on in the flowering room. I can get a stronger bigger dehumidifier that would definitely bring it down but then the temperature would increase a lot, that would probably then increase plant transpiration and defeat the purpose. Would I need an AC as well? I mean there's no need for an AC really where I am and if I had to buy a dehumidifier and AC of good quality I'm looking at a grand that I don't want to part with also the space and extra electricity they use. What do you all do in similar

Do you have your dehumidifier hooked to a drain so it runs 24/7? That makes a big difference!!

I just had to buy a 2nd one as I have a large basement....I bought one of these on EBay for $60, it was brand new and works prefect. I have it right outside my tent "window" and it drains into a condensation pump so I never have to drain it. Keeps my humidity in the 50-55% range in the humid northeast US.

You must be sealed? Its not smart to vent air if using a dehewy or AC just tossing money away.

I just fight heat from being upstairs with my grow space. No basement humidity... I only run a ac in the room my tents in to buffer the air being drawn into the tent. I keep it about 72 around the tent during the day and 70 at night. Humidity is always in check

I would like to do a mini split....Not only for my grow but my whole house!! Great rebates here in NY too. But people do mini splits for their grow areas too....

I'm in my basement so heat is rarely an issue.

Summer humidity is an issue here too. I got a 2nd dehumidifier for the basement and put it in the tent but it made it way too hot. I compensated by putting the dehu next to the tent, running my tent half open during the day, and adding the biggest fucking carbon filter I could find (Can Fan 13x39” paired to a 12” QMax fan). I usually only Flower in winter so this has been a real challenge, but my tent is sitting at 78* and 42% right now and I haven’t had any signs of mold or fungal issues yet.

In my 5 x 5 I run an AC Infinity 8 inch inline going outdoors. Very much overkill as it could literally crush the tent on high. However I run it on level 3 and it keeps my temps a very nice 81 degrees and humidity is always in check.

I suppose I should also add to the info that it's an 8x4 flowering tent in a room beside a 4x4 veg tent. Running mars hydro and lumatek leds. I suppose I should also add in the fact I'm using fabric autopots so yeah that's always going to increase the humidity. I should have used plastic for the summer. Lesson learnt. I have to run extraction with a carbon filter. Its strange but the smell of those flowering plants makes me nauseous. Someone mentioned using one on the outside. I bought another dehumidifier today, I'll put it outside the tent see how it goes. Dial that shit in
