When i was growing my first Kush you were still CRAPPING YELLO and when smokers like you who thought they knew it all because they were smoking for 20 years smoked some of the colombian gold i was growing they Ran to the doctor asking to save his life lmao

Here's an update on my AG... a nice large pic of a nice top. The girls are all just finished 7 weeks of flower and are starting week 8.

I got some! along with White widow, Mk Ultra, Pink panther. this is the Acapulco Gold in veg still nice.

im growing AG right now...i popped one in the ground. its already twice the size of the rest of my plants!!! im gonna lst the hell out of it as it begins to get taller (its probably only 8inch right now as i just started a grow). this is indoors btw so lst isnt an option...its necessary.

I want opinions on the smoke and things to watch for while growing or any tips on AG specifically?

I found that it grew pretty much like any other indica dominant strain I've grown - nice and stalky. I only got 2 different phenos from 5 plants - all 5 feminized seeds germ'd and didn't hermie at all.

The smoke was unbelievable - very powerful but still smooth and uplifting - great functional and conversational high that doesn't crash you on the decline.

Freshly busted-up bud is super-citrusy smelling...

I've got this strain on my short-list for next year again...a

dude, we used to get the real acapulco gold from mexico back in the 2000-03's, that stuff was badass, at least they called it AG.

Does it really matter? the strongest strain isnt the best for everything and strongest is subject to the smoker's opinion...not exactly fact.

most powerful or not Colombian Gold IS legendary as is Acapulco Gold. Others come to mind...skunk #1...northern lights..white widow...all have a long history of 5 star reviews.

I say it doesn't matter though; smoke what you like. I think ppl try to chase the strength more-so than the type of high itself. I prefer one that agrees with my body more than potency. If the quality of the high is amazing then i could care less how fuk'd up i can get on one hit or 10 hits.

The reason so many people praise pure/mostly pure sativas so much is because the highs are extremely unique and something you dont find in your "knock u out, so potent the dealer sells it in a baggie w/ a warning label on it" type bud.

potency should come SECOND TO QUALITY people!

I never seen real AG but the stories I heard from the real thing were good. I know someone who took a seed (said it had huge seeds) and grew a small plant. They said it wasn't very big but when smoked it put several people in the hospital. They swore it was laced with something.

thats interesting. Acapulco Gold is almost all sativa...shocked it grew into a small plant...must be a rare pheno?

i have one going right now (AG from barney farm) and its been the biggest plant so far (and by far). ive already had to start LST'ing it.

also ive heard AG has leaf mutations... is this correct? my AG has some leaf mutation.

All I can tell you is a Vietnam veteran a relative of mine knows hooked me up with seeds that they have been growing for decades They started a mother plant after pollinating her way back of course this process was repeated regularly from year to year they of course had clones from year to year tooThis is the real deal and he gave me about 400 seeds. I;m currently growing it and It is a fast growing Strong sativa. The buds from my first Plant were the headiest cerebral and uplifting But trippy high I have had. It hits you quickly and it causes out of body experiences and some paranoia later its the relax mode . right when it kicks in it causes uncontrollable laughter .

Geezuz.... all the bullshit the kids are spewing....

Bottom line...some strains are more potent than others. Some of these strains have been bred together to increase potency but the result has been fractional. The hybred strains of today are only slightly more potent than those of yesterday. Most of the hybred breading has been done for growing characteristics... to shorten bloom times and to reduce stretch in sativas....and so on...

Its funny...people have been cross breeding for decades then all of a sudden it gets popular because if legal changes and everybody and their dog is growing now....and these fuckin kids croos a couple of strains and think they have reinvented the the fuckin wheel...

Very nice, The closest I've been able to find has been the Vietnamese Black Hybrids from Ace seeds, and some landrace Sativas / Hybrids from Cannabiogen. Both companies seem to have a good reputation. I think I might go for one or two of those tasty selections.
