accidental cannamargarine

so, i got some butter (i thought) and im making cannabutter in a tried and true way i have done twice before with much success.

then my gf is like did you use that Blue bonnet for the butter, and yeah was margarine.

does anyone have experience with margarine rather than butter. my method is a mason jar in a pot of just under boiling water for 4-5hrs, then strain. 3hrs in now. 30g shake/bud ground fine 3.25 sticks. first 2 times i used real butter

any thoughts, am i doomed or will my brownies still work as butter would?

most definately. all margarine really is is vegi oil. the fat in tthe oil in the margarine absorbs the thc. the key is to get a brownie mix that calls for margarine instead of butter

you can sub any recipe that says butter for margarine.

Most of the time if it calls for 1/2 c butter, the substitute would be 1/3c oil. I usually just add the 1/2 oil.
