ACMPR - wait times

8 weeks here this year ... had to switch to ACMPR in order to move my garden

Was pleasantly surprised it only took 8 weeks

Finally!! the last time I renewed it took 4 months to get the liscence and they back dated it to the script date. So my liscence was really only good for 8 months I was pissed and so was my patient. But this time they didn’t and started it from the day I mailed it in! First thing they have gotten right in a long time!

Not true do you think the millions of people in canada who have scripts for opioids have their shit on the police database? I know a few cops and asked them about it and it simply isn’t true. I know med patients that have had their house raided thinking they were illegal . So if they can run your name or address in the police system and can see you ha e a card how is that even possible?

Its a bureaucracy! like it was at the end ff the mmar, it took less than three weeks to accomplish things because when it came across the deck it was singed and sent back
end of story..

Maybe I misread it but I thought I read you say that when they run your plates they can see your a med patient? Did you not?

It took me from Late Feb to July 2018 to receive mine, they also made a mistake I got 50 outdoor plants... can't complain for the mistake.. but also comes with quarter of that indoor split. Of course I can only do indoor til Spring is rolling back... I think the permit should of been the inverse, 12 or so outdoor with 50 inside... either or, im whittling out the males and will just clone off solid females when I find them. I also got some AUTO's in the interim growing so im assured some smoke..

I will be launching 10 seeds after my auto's are done.. I think I already isolated a male out of the regular ones... waiting a couple more days to be sure. If I get a solid female in the 10, ill clone her outside end of May a few times over and keep the mama in veg for a couple of years.

My friend is still waiting for a renewal sent in July.

no one will ever or has ever checked out any patients grows!!
No worries with 1 or 100 more or less.

That's odd ... sent mine in March 6th and got it back May 8th

Question - did you happen to get your prescription through a clinic or a doctor you paid? .... I didn't pay for mine (been licensed since 2009) but had to switch to the ACMPR due to my garden location being sold ... I have been told by a couple doctors that there is a blacklist of clinic doctors whom are known by health canada to be charging fees for a prescription, perhaps this is why it took longer than my application since, from what was explained to me, HC looks closer at registrations that are placed with prescriptions from these blacklisted doctors which would inevitably lead to longer wait times

Did you just get an amendment ?

Or did you apply as a new patient without an mcr-#?

Brand new registration, and I choosed a clinic that processed my app for 300 bucks but the doc never charged me himself.

But even if it was blacklisted I would if never got it maybe they lost my paperwork then found it.

I never had an I'd til july.

No, not an amendment ... I had to switch from the MMAR (oddly my pink is still valid) to the ACMPR which is a new application

Same exact process you would have done which is why it is odd it took yours so long to come back and the only explanation for that would be the blacklist doctors deal

If your doctor works through a clinic that charges then they've been blacklisted ... do you really think HC doesn't know that they work from a clinic?

In Canada a doctor is paid $36 from HC for each patient for 15 minutes, however when working through a clinic the clinic is the one who is paid and then the clinic pays the doctor .... needless to say the paperwork involved with charging HC for the patient details the patient as well as the treating doctor (that's how the Canadian medical system works)

So HC knows right off the nat if a doctor is working through a cannabis clinic

On top of this, when you send in your rehistration your prescribing doctors name is on it and if said doctor is on the blacklist (the blacklist being the list of doctors known to be working through a cannabis clinic that charge fees) then HC puts that registration under greater scrutiny than ones which have a doctor who is not on the blacklist which in turn makes the registration take longer as HC will look deeper into it to be sure your registration is legit ... dont forget that there are tons of people paying for high plant counts which is why HC is required to do this

Now, I was told by my treating doctor (over 10 years of weekly spinal column injections ... so yeah, we have become friends over this time) that some doctors get blacklisted by HC due to what I explained above, however he also said there is a white list which doctors who do not charge fees or are working through a clinic that does not charges fees get put on which in turn can make the registration go faster due to the doctor in question being known by HC to not charge fees

Doctors and clinics charging fees is borderline illegal in the sense that according to the Canadian medical system you should not have to pay to get a cannabis prescription

If you paid to get your script in the first place it will take an additional month to two months to recieve your paperwork due to HC checking into everything to be sure your scrp is legit
