Activated Charcoal used in soil?

Been growing organicly in soil for a little while on my 3rd round right now was looking at a charcoal supplement. It says better nute uptake higher germ rate reduced compaction water retention fungus and bug infestation resistant was wondering if anyone had tried it

Charcoal and "Activated Charcoal" are two different things. If a grower put the activated version in the soil, it would very quickly become deactivated, wasting the extra cost. It would also absorb every nutrient it touches before deactivating.
