I have one of those 6" duct fans. I will be using it to push air from my flower room to my veg room. I already have a vent from the veg room to the flower room that my carbon filter pulls fresh air through. Basically my carbon fan pulls fresh air from my garage through the veg room then through the flower room and out through the roof. I want to push some of the heat from the flower room back into the veg room where it will re-circulate back into the flower room. I have a oil radiator type heater in the veg room for those colder days that is set at a low of 70 degrees.

If your goal is to heat your room from another room I would suggest installing it as close to the ceiling as possible. Don't forget about trapping the light...
