its been researched, (ill try to find the article i read) there is no chemical dependency to weed, no physically addicting properties. The only "addiction" to pot you will get is a mental one, which is more than easy enough to break. so to answer your question with my opinion, based on what i have read: NO, you cant get addicted to weed, unless youre like me, and want to be. Seriously though, no you dont get addicted to weed.

Well, i think there is no difference between mental and physical addiction (and if there is, mental addiction is worse than the physical one in my opinion). If something, when 'lacked,' causes anxiety, sadness, uneasiness or any kind of mental or physiological discomfort, then it's simply addictive.

For example i sweat and have stomachache when i lack. Abnormal hormonal behavior is the cause of both sweating and stomachache. Now, abnormal hormonal behavior is clearly a physiological thing, right?

It can be argued that these withdrawal symptoms are applicable only to those who already had some mental problems before using stuff and that weed only made them visible? I think, it's almost impossible not to have mental problems while living in sick and crowded cities. So i guess, even if it's possible to go on smoking without getting addicted; there is always a big chance that when "the problems" get more intense, self control weakens, opening a way to addiction.

I don't know. In my case, it's addictive. But as i said, i can get addicted to anything that emotionally stimulates me :wall:

(By the way comparing toilet paper addiction and weed addiction has no sense at all... When there is no toilet paper, i don't really suck as much as i do when i don't have weed. You can go to a 7/11 and get some papers, or you can take a bath instead of using toilet paper, or else you can always use your hands to clean your shitty ass you know :)

Weed is not physically addictive but it can be psychologically addictive which can be a lot worse in some cases.

I think I must definately be 'psychologically addicted' to cannabis, but this is just one of MANY 'psychological addictions'.

cannabis
music
tv
film
my guitar
cigarettes
drinks on a friday
holidays
mobile phone
facebook
youtube
fast food
sex
masturbation
raving
girls
weed
more weed

We all do a lot of things habitually, its part of life. Finding the right balance so that you can live your life in the happiest way possible, and recognising when you're damaging yourself and those around you, that's tha hard part.
