Adding CFL To My HPS For Budding!!

I want to add my cfl's to my room towards the base of the plants with the clamp lights so the lower buds recieve more light. I have a 1000 watt right now but its not penitrating the canopy all the way.

Heres my question. What type of cfl is best suited for budding. Cool white light or Warm Golden yellow bulbs?
I know I can get a huge golden cfl for like 8 bucks a pop and they are the twice the size of my fist just want to know if thats the best way to go.

Thanks

Sunlight is "cool white", which is actually blue, which is 5600Kelvins. That's what I would go for to increase resin production. The warmer/more-orange you get, the more you are assisting leaf/bud production. But honestly; I'm not sure a plant would notice a slight difference in kelvins; generally speaking, cfls are "blue".

If you bother use 2700k spectrum for flowering but make sure your not wasting money get at least actual wattage of 80 watts not equal too but actual 80 watters that equal about 150 hps wattage. They usually run around $19 at harware stores and are about oh 8 inches long standard socket

Id do it mate. I'm currently running a tad over 200w's of 6500k cfls at the bottom 1/3 of my plant where the hps can't penetrate and I can see the difference. the top buds are getting bigger everyday but slower at resin production while the lower cfls ones aren't as big but they have more resin on em then the top colas.

I found a 200 watt at walmart. 2700k shatter resistant. $21.

if your just adding them for supplemental lighting to lower bud sites might I suggest t5's I find you can get better coverage with t5's and there a lot less hassle with cords. I put a 39 watt t5 light on the front and back walls of my grow tent during flowering and I've been pleased with the results.
