Adding water to butter in the crockpot?????

Why do all the threads recommend adding water when heating the butter in a crockpot?
Is it just so that the oil separates and floats? Or is there another reason?
Or is there any good result from just adding ground bud and sugar leaf to a brownie mix?
I just want to make a quick batch of brownies for now, with the least amount of time tied up in it.

quickest way to make brownies?

get the betty crocker bag 1 egg 1/2 cup oil and 10g-s ?gs of buds

decarb the bud... sift bud over the mix... stir in egg and oil and water and cook

the oils will react within 30 mins (while being cooked) with the thc and they will be potent ...

recipe is for those who like the taste of weed...

i find cooking with cannabis is kinda like the old saying " you get out, what you put in"...by that i mean, the more time and effort you put into it, the better tasting and more potent in the end. jmo...peace

Water has an added bonus besides removal or Chlorophyll , it allows more volume and matter to be used .. You cant take 4 ounces and cook into a pound of butter without water .. As well water wont burn like butter left alone .. Water is beneficial but not needed to make small batches like mentioned ..

This is my first time to try and cook with it, when you say 'decarb', is there something different to do? Or is that just extensive drying?

yeah I am sure this is true.. about taste.. I have seen no increase in potency in any methods I've used from the 24 hour crock pot to 4 hours..

if there is some proof of this I would love to see it.. since it's been a debated issue..

i basically posted that because you said to put bud straight into cake mix, which i no will work.if extracted with say coconut oil and used in cake mix, the fats in this oil is easy for our body to absorb, and the fat is bonded with the thc.there for, more will be taken up by your body and less will pass through. i'm sure there is debate, n i'm not certain this is absolutley correct, but it works for me. im positive my way taste better though...peace

I found several posts mentioning that doing over 4 hrs ruined the taste, and most guys did the first 2 hours on high, and second 2 on low, and they all said to add water, but nobody explained why.
I only have 'enough' for a one time deal, so I was just wanting to make a quickie batch for my son coming to visit, and was planning to experiment next time instead of giving away all of the trim I had from the first portion I harvested.
I appreciate your ideas and quick first responses.

Basically what I do, I never strain the bud all the way, love the taste.

Here is my recipe for potent brownies, you don't want to rush the process, the longer the better with oil.
