Anyone care to comment on these leds looking for 2 of the 700 or 510w in a 8x4.
Thought 700s would be to much but specs say not.

1400 watt of good led in a 8 x 4 is way overkill, even if you are sealed up with supplemental co2 and have a light tolerant strain you are well on your way to deminishing returns...

as for the lights themselves they look reasonable quality, not as efficient as some top end light due to the lowish diodes count.
at least they have put the 3000k and 5000k on seperate channels although they sould have used the third channel for the far red as it would have been more usefull.

Thanks bud, I've just upgraded from a 1m2 tent with 4 highlight boards and dimming them.
Wanted to keep with some far red and uv while getting away from plugs and cables everywhere.
Will probably go with the 700s and dim as will be getting the master controller aswell.

I keep harping at people to stop looking at wattage, its just an indication of power. Figure out how many plants you're gonna have in the tent (I'm figuring 24-30) then how much PAR(in PPFD) you want to delivery to them during late veg and flower.

Without any supplemental C02 and plant steroids' 900-1000 is a good PPFD number. So figure out what the light can delivery (look at PPFD charts not just PPF). These lights would do the trick but for the price waaayy to much and its only 3 year warranty/ There are better solutions out there. I could get some something with a controller, a tunable spectrum and more power so you could really dial into what you are doing for a better price.

I'm only planning on doing 2 plants in there, each plant 5 week apart, I have a separate 1m2 veg tent and a small clone space for first few weeks.
Got the 700s in the end with master controller, figured it would give me more controll over the spectrum.
Also these were easy to purchase so well aware I paid much over the odds but needs must

Sometimes over-analysis can paralyze. I have my DIY high power lights running at about 80% during flower. It's nice to know you have it if you need it.

Happy gardening!
