What happened to my recent posts? First my PM's disappear, now we get the prevailing RIU censorship drills? Also, three days of posts have been deleted - Sept. 11-13.

Bad mods and a bunch of kids makes for a bad site.

Goodbye,

Good to see that there are still some folks at RIU that get the truth and are trying to spread it. I tried here for a couple of years but seems that most folks really want to embrace the myths and bullshit, why I don't post here much anymore.

Even more fun to see someone embrace Jorge's bible and slam UB (who actually appears in Jorges bible)

You see I have broken all the myths and given readers actual links to edu and botany sites to prove what I say. As one poster said earlier you simply can not find a scientific link to verify that flushing is a proper thing when it comes to harvest time. It does however play an important roll in maintaining healthy plants during the grow.

I'm not here to argue or call names, never have, but I do like a good honest debate. they can be fun and folks can learn from them.

Every grower should be taking steps to constantly improve both yields and quality. To do this you must truly understand plant processes which requires a bit of actual botany as forum myths will never get you there.

The canna specific product manufacturers hate me, I teach folks how to grow plants that don't stink eliminating the need for fans & filters. I use a regular non-canna nute that cost only a dollar a pound, I get 20 inch cola's with my 400 watt lights more than 2 feet off the canopy and I average 1.25 grams per watt pulling 35 ounces off 4 3 foot tall plants in a recent harvest and my non flushed fed chems till the end burn clean grey ash that put the average smoker on their butts with one hit (all verified by other forum members that visited my garden)

So please when some one gives you the link to my truth about flushing thread please continue to ignore it and embrace the myths, those of us growing that killer herb will all be glad you did

PS. those that want to learn the actual plant processes can find the info in my Calling all new growers thread around post #400 or so it is a 4 part ditty on fermentation

No offence, but the name calling only started when certain people claimed that people who dont flush grow "lower quality" or "chemical filled" weed.

To be honest, its way more offensive being told I grow an inferior plant cos I dont believe in myths than being called an idiot for ignoring facts...

Fact is flushing doesnt do anything other than harm your plants...if you ignore this fact you arnt doing what you're trying to do, and that is grow the best plant possible.

Trust me when I say this, we're only trying to help you. If you dont flush a plant and dry/cure it properly and then try it you will be on our side too.

You can even tell people you flushed it if it makes you feel better, they wont notice the difference...I can guarantee that.

As you know, we sing from the same sheet of music. It's myths and bullshit that keep the vendors rich, the cannabis forums popping up like bunnies on Viagra and noobies wandering WTF when it all comes crashing about their ears.

Yep, but cannabis forum paradigms/myths never die, they just get perpetuated with every new crop of noobs. Botany takes a back seat to these people. These are the same arguments I've read over and over and over for 10+ years and I bet if you did a quick search here, a half dozen like threads are now current.

Trust me when I say this, we're only trying to help you. If you dont flush a plant and dry/cure it properly and then try it you will be on our side too.
IMO, it's a matter of using salts only when the plant requires them and an issue of the hydrocarbon makeup of what goes up in smoke - the tars, terpenes, etc.

You can even tell people you flushed it if it makes you feel better, they wont notice the difference...I can guarantee that.
Feelings and placebos rule.

I did one grow in hydro without flushing once (had to get it out early cos of security problems). Smoke spat and sparked like a firework. However, I only flush with tap-water. Don't even bother with pH. What's the point, I'm not trying to make maximum nutrients available for up-take. If I had RO water, I would use that for the last couple of days but I haven't. Never had a problem and my friends who do use all these voodoo-juices always want to swap some of there stuff with mine come harvest.

using a flushing agent is a waist of money! water works fine, just takes time!
ive done both ways like Ive stated before, so im trying to understand you
guys idea that curing is the answer to not flushing? you feed to the last
day and chop the dry/cure and blame theres clean weed lol!! its never been
the case for me or my circle of grower friends. and nubs to this field we are
not! just cause I flush doesnt make me less of a grower! there are tons of
other way to grow this shit some work for you and some not for others.
seeing the scientific research on it il look into it but teaching a old dog new
tricks! dont think its going to happen. and to you guys I never said any of
you are less growers if you flush!

This is my thoughts on flushing. You are stripping the nutrients from the roots and medium. So ph is useless at this time. You are forcing the plant instead to use stored nutrients. By forcing it to use its stored nutrients, you want this to happen fairly quickly, so be aggresive.
I do an ebb n flow. I do use a flushing nutrient for 2 reasons. 1. No matter what anyone says it's quicker. 2. They have added sugars in the flushing agent which is a nice bonus. Especially to those who do a long flush. Its like saying, na I dont want these buds to get any better. :)
I do an aggresive 3 day flush. I fill my reservoir with tap and flushing agent. ppm 220-ish. Start pump, let run about 20 min, then top feed each one for about 5-10 minutes in 20-30 second intervals going back between plants. I usually get my ppm to about 850-950, then it stops rising. Drain reservoir, fill with tap/flush agent. Switch to 5 feeding a day. after 2 1/2 days of that, I cut water off and turn lights off for a day or so. Super quick flush, super quick evenly dry time due to cutting off water last day or two, and super smooth good tasting buds due to forcing plants to use all of its stored nutrients.

my method is over 2 weeks with water

so first flush drain res fill with plain water ppms of water is 100 system cycle after three days the res is at 900 from 1100

secound flush day 4 drain res fill again with plain water 100ppms after 4 more day ppm are at 600 from 900

third day 8 drain fill 100ppm water, 4 more days later ppms are at 300 from 600

fourth day 12 drain fill 100ppm water 4 more days later ppms are at 100 from 300

last to days no water theres no wilt going this long in my system and there ready
for the chop dry time 4 to 5 days then curing

Wow, 2 weeks of flush. Nice I bet those are nice and smooth. But why deprive them of needed sugars at the time they could use them most?

there at week 7 1/2 there done swelling and packing on the weight so theres no depriveing them! and they finish at week 9 1/2

Hmm. I was unaware that plants stop growing the last 2 weeks on a 9 week plant. Crazy stuff right there.

No offense, but the final two weeks of any strain are she they put on up to 20% of their final weight...if your plants are ripe after 7 1/2 weeks then it's a 7 1/2 week strain, not a 9 week strain.
