Advanced Nutrients

Ok, Ive been arguing with a friend for quite a bit. I have been growing with GH flora 3 part for the past year. I havent been getting as decent bud as Id like at all. My friend keeps arguing that were not getting good shit because of the nutrients, and that if we had the Advanced Nutrient 7 part system or some shit, that we will succeed. My response was, "hmmm who brings advanced nutrients to the naturally grown DANK in the wild?" I would like sum insight from people who have used both advanced nutrients and general hydroponics, or even anything else compared to AN. What are your thoughts and recommendations?

Hmmm nutes are only 1 part of making plants bigger. How are you actually growing it? How much root space do you have? Next to AN GH nutes are almost as good if not the best. I think GH was the gold standard for hydro until things like AN and Dutch Master appeared. I do not think it is the nutes alone. GH also has additives for the 3-part series, but adding a bunch of additives will not necessarily mean better growth.

First of all, the 'seven part system' LOL. You don't need seven things, though I admit I'm using more and more as I see what AN can do. I don't know if your friend has actually used AN in the past, have they?

I have. And I've used GH in the past. Here's what I think, though I'm sure you're going to get just as many responses about GH.

My main experience has been with AN in a hydro setup. For my money and for my goals, I think Advanced Nutrients grows better bud than anything else I've ever used. The harvests are bigger than I've seen with other nutrients, plus the weed just tastes better.

And for me, that's a big deal.

What sells me on them is the HUGE amount of research they do. They really check to make sure their nutes are in sync with the MJ plant. To me, that's really respectable and really makes me feel like they understand what MJ needs to grow big and strong. LOL

I would recommend picking up a few basic products for a typical grow:

Sensi A&B
Voodoo Juice
Big Bud
Bud Candy

Final Phase and Overdrive are also good ones to use if you're interested in kicking it up a notch.

Now, since you're new to AN, try to use the nutes at about 25% of the recommended dosages. That's always worked for me. Sometimes, the nutes just need to be eased into the grow. Plants can't always handle the intensity.

But once you get things going, you can bring up the nute levels according to the growth stage, helping to give your plants a great ride from beginning to end.

The nutrient calculator they have on their site is really helpful when you're not sure how much to use too.

My vote is for AN, since GH is good, but just didn't give me the results I thought I should see based on all the time I was spending in my grow room. Now I don't really have to check up all the time.

It's like that Ronco chicken thing - set it and forget it.....LOLOLOLOL

good luck man!;-)

Thanks hookah thats good info, especially since you used both brands. Now i am atleast open to trying them. But you are right, so many things needed to be corrected in my grow, especially my growing technique. Knowledge is power tho and im set on learning and accepting new ideas. Happy growin
