Yeh, I understand a couple of this and a couple of that, but 1? And then get online and bitch cuz it didn't pop.

You paid more for shippin than you did for your 1 bad seed.

Maybe next time you will splurge and order 2

apparently its due to the seed fermenting due to moisture caused by improper packaging
i didnt get it shipped the store is fairly near my point is if you are going to breed and sell these you should package them properly

Guess what? Its cuz you drowned it. its all mushy right?

Out of the 10 or so breeders I have bought seeds from, 0 come with dessicant.

Most come in a glass vial, posibbly with a small piece of cotton.

Does it begin with soaking it for 24 hrs?

if you want help germing and growing, id be happy to tell you how i germ.

Not trying to be a dick, but you know how it looks when someone signs up, has 0 credability and 1 post and starts talking shit cuz there 1 seed didn't pop. There is such things as duds. But most likely you drowned it. Oxygen deprived roots turn black and die. Excess water deprives oxygen. You drowned them.

Not 1 breeder I have ordered from has used dessicant packs.

I have a near 100% germ rate. Only dud seeds, or drowning a seed that is so fresh it didn't need to be soaked. To stop that, check every 6 hrs, when the seed cracks and water enters the seed sinks. When it sinks, move it to a paper towel

i dont soak them never have, i use the tissue paper between two saucers method and i check every 6-8 hours the paper is saturated but not floating with water- i drain off excess, so i know this method which has never let me down is not the cause so i did not drown them

good news, i applied a hormone to the seeds with the black hormone, completely corrected the problem.
