Advanced Stealth Hydro Bubbeponics Thread

Almost forgot CHKN. Yes the yellow fan leaves mean that the plant is using the nutes up from the leaves. Also, over time, the connection the leaf has to the stem degrades. It's just mimicing what happen in fall for a deciduous tree. Outside I think that yellow leaf is pretty! LOL!

Yep, SC beat it like a rented mule! Let that sado side out! I stick thumbtacks in every stem/stalk, twist the shit out of it, raise and lower the lights, let the room heat up by turning off random fans and then tell the plant it's not her it's me!

Sounds like were in the same boat. Are you planning on chopping this weekend or are you going to wait?

Not me. I just flush for 7-10 days then chop them. I have nutes to build up resin and bud size during flowering. I want those nutes doing their job right up until the end.

Hey guys I need some help...
I'm still trying to find where I'm going wrong with my grow. I have rust spots on my fan leafs, it is worse at the bottom of the plant, and gradually effects all the fan leafs from bottom to top. My ph has been holding strong..and I did a reservoir flush last night with new nutes. I was thinking that it was a magnesium deficiency?

It appears that I have Gnats...could this be the cause...how to you get ride of these bastards? I think they came in from a plant that I had in dirt, which was in the house.

Ahh, man, I wish you had read my DIY Tutorial about NOT bringing something from out doors into the grow room.

Those rust spots are either nute burn or heat burn...I bet over feeding.

Please, everyone, please read the first ten pages of my DIY thread to avoid bugs and problems.

My EC was around 1.6, so I'm wondering if I was under feeding for being in week 4 of flowering? I reservoir change and the EC is at 1.8.

The plant was just brought in from outside and into the house, not so much into the grow room. Anyway to get rid of them? I would assume they are laying eggs in my roots..

PPM for Hanna Chart PPM

Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

Note: EC Calculations are different, here's a conversion chart :
heres a great chart that shows how different PPM can be from meter to meter... EC is the only real universal language...

Thanks Roseman.

I have been following the Fox Farm feeding schedule.
http://www.foxfarmfertilizer.com/hydrofeed.pdf
Maybe I should post a pic.
It seems as if most of the fans leafs that are coming off the main stalk have become burnt, and dried up..but it only has happened severely on one plant. Others only show rust spots on the fan leafs.

How about the Gnats? Is there any way to beat them? Or do I need to wait till the grow is done?

Get the yellow sticky fly traps at Home Depot or Lowes. I used No-Pest Strips, bugs dropped like flies () as soon as I whipped em out and to hang. I took them out during flower though, releases some toxic chems so didn't want that in my buds, but they work really well depending on how bad your infestation is.

I did as the great Roseman suggested, and put out a saucer of vinegar and a few flies dove in to their death, you could try that too.

You may want to check out your roots for little larvae too, I had the gnats for a bit, but eliminated them. The gnats supposedly land on your RW and plant hundreds, if not thousands, of eggs that hatch larvae and eventually those larvae shoot out of your res and start flying around. I got mosquito dunks, which can also be found at Home Depot or Lowes and put a couple in the res for a week or so till they dissolved, it is all natural no worries, and that took care of the gnats. Also bought some SM-90 and started using that religiously, it is supposed to deter the bugs in their tracks. Good luck! If ya need any more help eliminating those damn fungus gnats let me know, I successfully exterminated them. :leaf:

Thanks man.. I will try this tomorrow.
I seen the larva in the dirt plant I brought in. They looked like clear worms. I haven't seen them in the roots of the Hydro but I would assume they are there.
