Advice about indoor

Scarnon people, brand new to here and the whole growing really, i want to shoot a few questions out there because im having a hard time getting answered by countless google searches,
so #1 whats going to be the best strain for a growing noob?
#2 what strain is going to have the least odor ( most important ) ? - i have my hopes up for either the ice strain or the blue mystic strain, from nirvana, i searched these strains on druglibrary, very helpfull info. Which is where i based there odor potency off of. ( tell me if they stink from nirvana)
#3 some good yields and potency ?
Im going to run 400w hps and MH for veg n flower adn cfl 100w for seedling, but was thinking on using 100w cfl from seed till its about 12" ( for the ice strain) and then wackin the HPS for flower, thoughts on that action?

Thanks for any suggestions in advance

Odor is most important because it will be in my wardrobe (5.1 ft/sq) in my room and i dont want my mom smelling or my younger sister! :)

odor is a hard question because there is no guarantee, most 'strains' will have smellier phenotypes
in general, Northern Lights has a low odor rep, i ran a nl#5 like that, pretty low odor
for nirvana, i ran their PPP, and that was very low odor
but lowest odor? let the grower beware, be ready for unexpected smells

I can't help you with the Ice strain but I have Blue Mystic under till currently and they are 30 days into bloom. The smell is very neutral. you shouldn't have any problems with your mom. we're approaching the time of year when you can have your windows open and this can help with the smell. Otherwise if you don't smoke cigs in the house now is a good time to start. 400 watt MH in your size room is going to create a heat issue, especially if it's pack with your wardobe. good luck and keep up your research your in the right place on this site.

I'm new to growing also, and learning alot daily. I do know that different strains do have an oder, some stronger than others. Quiet frankly I enjoy the smell of growing mj, very fresh smelling. Ona seems to be the best deoderizer I have found for apartment living and growing around other people. The only other thing is to have a good filter and fan that can suck enough air through the filter to defeat oder.
