Advice needed please.

My first real indoor solo grow. Bought some real good genetic clones but now have russets. I see no way of getting rid of them without crazy chemicals or just burning the plants and bleaching and starting over. So please advise, here's my thoughts. 5 plants 2 showed russets bad so I put em outside. The other 3 are beautiful plants but showing signs too now. Do I just try to flower anyway and see what happens? Toss em get seeds and start over? Leave em outside to flower naturally anyways? Also I have seedings in The same area should I toss them too or move em away and hope they don't have em too? Stressed I've spent so much money just to grow my own and stop spending money for this to happen

That's my whole worry I can put the clones outside to die or bud how much they can but I have lights and tents and stuff in my garage that I don't want to spread to my seedlings but I feel paranoid being like this but first time getting real genetics and this happens ugbh

Your not it's the same thought process I'm in. If it was thrips or flies or aphids I wouldn't trip but there's no way to get rid of these short of a nuclear bomb it seems

I've seen Dr Zymes work on broad and russet mites. It's spendy but it does work and is an organic pesticide rated for use up to the day harvest.

neem oil, or if you have a mild soap( not dawn) you can mix it with water and a small amount of rubbing alcohol .. alcohol supposedly makes them sterile and the soap help protect the leaves and also fucks with the mites neither one of these methods may get rid of all of them with one application so you'll have to repeat a couple times..

I bought bayers 3 in 1 after seeing someone else say it worked for them but I'm taking it back for some neem
Bugs are more active at night. Spray with natural pyrethrum after the sun goes down, try to get it under the leaves. Once mites get established indoors you are screwed. Get rid of all house plants that you have. Clean out your cannabis grow area the best you can, wait a month and start over. Grow indoors during the winter outdoors in the summer. I always wait until a few hard frost and extended cold weather before i start indoors to make sure outdoor bugs are dead for the year. I wind things down before outdoor bugs get established in the spring plus it gets too damn hot. My winter garden helps me warm my house.

I had to share this. Whenever I read pyrethrum Billy the exterminator comes to mind, and how hee xplains its the natural extract of the Chrysanthemum plant. Cheers

Neem oil won't even phase russet mites.

Insects are cold blooded. There's no way that they're more active at night. There are easy treatments for regular spider mites. Telling someone to trash every plant in the house because of spider mites a ridiculous.

All I've ever done is post advice and try to make sure that people don't follow bad advice from people who obviously don't know what they are talking about. The fact that you're so quick to become defensive and resort to name calling really just makes my case for me.
hmmm its worked for me in the past on both russets and spider mights
. I personally prefer a soap and alcohol mix but what the fuck do I know.. I've only been growing weed for 24 years...

If pyrethrum won't kill your mites, try a solution with an organic soap (hear good things about Dr. Bronner's Organic Peppermint Soap, but never used it personally) or try and find yourself some rosemary oil, which is supposed to be really effective against all types of mites . Again, it's one that I haven't used but I always hear good things.

Well, you've got me by 2-3 years. I've been dealing with growing weed and the pests that come with it since 1996. I've never had an issue with dealing with regular mites. When I hear people tell someone to trash their entire garden over spider mites I want to laugh except for the idea that someone might actually junk their entire garden and all of the time and money they invested in it because someone else is clueless about how to deal with spider mites.

As far as broad and russet mites I've dealt with them plenty and know plenty of people who've been doing this for twenty so years or so as well. They've all come to the same conclusion. Neem oil and it's derivatives don't work on broad and russet mites.

These pics are from the legal medical grow of a friend's that I worked on last year. It was a total of 116 plants in 300 gallon pots that went full season and 8 light dep hoop houses for a few early crops. We had regular mites as we as broad and russet mites. Once again azadirachtin products took care of the regular mites but didn't touch the broad or russet mites.

If its only 5 plants you bought as clones I would take the advice in the very first response you received. Its just not worth the headache. You'll spend more time battling than growing. To really irradiate them you'll need to spray various products every 3 days diligently. Neem wont work. They do the back stoke through neem while flipping you the bird. Imid,or Floramite would work but its more money and more time and they beat the shit out the plants.
Its up to you, but I absolutely wouldn't do that for 5 plants...not with regular two-spotted mites and definitely not for broad or russets. All it takes is one egg to survive and it'll be a never ending PITA.
Go get some fresh CLEAN clones and quarantine them until you're sure there are no issues. Or, just get some decent seeds and start fresh.

Burn the others in a fire pit and clean up the space they were in really well.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
