I have never used one, but I don't think it is as good (or as cheap) as a 5 gallon DWC bucket with foam collars and no media.

Like Malevolence said build your own from a 5 gallon bucket. Way cheaper and in my opinion better. I own one so I'm speaking from experience.

I used to use a water farm setup. The reservoir setup was nice, and the yields depend a lot on the growers attention to detail. It was OK but I now operate DWC systems. The dwc with oxygenation, however, far surpasses the yields and simplicity of the water farm, and they share the benefit of easily adding or subtracting buckets. Look up national garden supply and check out the catalog. They will send you a hard copy if you like. Mainly the water farm is just pricy and if you are at all handy, you can put it together a lot cheaper with available parts at the hydro store, or the catalog. Peace & be kind

IMO you are always better off building your system DIY. Buying anything pre- made only helps the person who sold it to you. Dwc buckets are cheap as fuck & easy to make yourself....built my own dwc for less than $30. Invest in a tent, lights, odor control you can't easily do yourself.
