Advice on Balcony Grow

So I ordered my first seeds ever from attitude they rock got them dispatched same day of order. I got a mix pack of 20 different autoflowers (indoor/outdoor) and 2 freebies(both fems no autoflower so these might be an issue for me?) I live on the 5th floor and face east right at the ocean so I get sun first thing in the morning and it lasts for about 6-8hrs max but its extremely intense. Will i be able to grow my autoflowers with this amount of light? Does anyone know of a guide previously posted that could help with this process? All advice welcome I've heard great things about this forum and the advice people hear offer.

oh yeah and they will love that fresh ocean breeze. If this is your first grow may I suggest that you go to the bookstore and buy the Medical Marijuana Growers Bible by Jorge Cervantes. It is full of pictures and infor to help you from seed to harvest. it also has stuff about pests, diseases, lighting, etc....... it is worth the money I promise.

No not my first grow but first grow outdoors with autoflowers. I did it the right way with light cycles indoors but I have a garden of about 15 veggies on my balcony that are doing great. I feel like a newbie with these specialized seeds and the fact I read on here that light must be on 24 hrs a day or 20/4 or 18/6. I get 6-8hrs and that's it I don't want to start these seeds to have them die off and lose my money. But if they grow like my vegetables it would be ridiculous. Can they be treated like any veggie?

the lightings fine. Especially since you got the morning light its even better. And with the balcony you aint got to worry about as many bugs or damn deer and what not.

Yeh no bug issues and definitely no wild life. The only other issue I could get into is the fact that the morning sun can cause temperatures to get close to 100 degrees I heard high heat is a major issue for new plants. Should I germ in my jiffy green house indoors and then transplant and set up on balcony or just start outdoors and let nature do its work. I will germ in paper towels first.

Let nature do her work. Transplanting will put you behind a day or so when the roots have to adjust. So, just germ and plant and let it go.

If I read you right, you have autoflowering strain of them babies. I heard that autoflowering plants are the best ones for grow where you don't have sufficient/too much/stable light so the caring about sun cycle is all away - which is just excellent for balcony!

I am a second-year balcony grower, although I live in Central Europe and I am having an afternoon-sun (from like 1pm till night), and always my babies thrived well (although as not as big as my cousin's outdoors, but that is limited by the size of the pot and sunlight it gets during the course of the day). So on the balcony you will do just about fine, perhaps even excellent with your autoflowers even with this amount of morning light

Ye thats way their better adjusted to the heat and dont wither when you transplant your sproutlings. Iv had problem with heat before but i transplanted from a cup to morning sun location came back 2 out of 5 look like something sucked their insides out and left just thier skin.(withered or w.e.) .

Jup, I can only concurr. Just put them seeds in a middle-sized pot and let them sprout and thrive there. Did it like that this year and I can't complain. Even when I transplanted the few-weeks old babies to their new homes, the transplant shock was close to null. For a day they recovered, but didn't cease to look happy

Awesome thanks for the advice. Definitely have a better comfort level now that I know others are doing the same with success. I got the Short Stuff Seeds Short Mix from attitude anyone get this 20 pack before and know what types they throw in? If they label them or just mix them up?
