Advice on my first grow

Hi all,

I'm looking to grow 2-4 autoflowers in a grow tent in my attic in the UK with the aim of getting the highest yield from the lowest initial and running cost. Below are my plans however very much open to suggestions and advice.

60x60x140 tent
2-4 12L pots sitting on a drip tray raised about 10cms slightly tilted to allow drainage into a bucket below
Cana Terra Pro soil mix
Rhino pro carbon filter kit 4inch
Mars 600w LED full spectrum - Timer to set light cycle - Adjustable hangers
6inch clip on fan
Temp/Hum thermometer
PH tester
Mist spray
Watering jug
Perhaps a rad depending on the tent temp with the lights on

All this would be setting my back around the £350mark

My questions are
will this produce a high yield? Will the 600 LED be enough for 2 or hopefully 4 autoflowers?
Am I missing anything which will destroy my crop or reduce my yield?
Is there anything I can to reduce the initial cost?

Thanks in advance,

D

To grow without nutes you need the proper soil not just any kind. Number 2 if I was you I would do somemore research. Autos ate not good for new growers as any stress will extremely effect your yield.

Change on the lighting - switching from LED to a 250w HPS as I feel I would benefit from the extra heat.
No longer going auto, going for 4 northern lights (non auto) as I believe I will learn more from how the plant is growing.
I'll be using Biomix light organic soil for the seedlings in small cups
Moving to 12L pots of Biomix allmix organic soil when big enough
Using Flora Grow nute for veg - possibly 1 10ml per week 20/4 light cycle with more blue spectrum bulb
Then onto Flora Bloom for flower - again 1 10ml a week 12/12 light cycle with more red spectrum bulb

Keeping it as simple as possible but will adapt and learn based on how they do,

Whats the thoughts?

Skip the HPS, go COB.

Appreciate the suggestions but seems a bit pricey,
All in £60 for a ballast, reflector and 2 250w hps bulbs suits my needs better at the moment
I will upgrade on my next grow possibly to a cob system

Thanks again!
Yeah, but you'll get the power of a 600w HPS using only 241w. I wouldn't blow it off..

I am using regular home compost soil. I put some eggshells and coffee grinds in a blender and mixed it with the soil and that worked fine from seed.

After transplanting it from the solo cup to a pot, growth slowed way down.

Make sure you aerate the soil. My soil was packed hard after a week. I bought some cutting edge nutes on amazon for like 9 bucks the other day and have been trying it.

Aerating and adding very little nutrients sped the growth up quite a bit.

Greetings.
Nutrients or soil food?
Myco to activate soil?

4 NL#?- Under a 250 is not happening IMO.

That Mars 600 with a mod of 6 CoB's (2 per driver) of your choice would be much better. #Growmau5
The soil I've chosen has perlite and worm castings which seem to be popular among most growers
While the flora grow during veg to add nitrogen
And flora bloom to add potassium while flowering

The lightening is very much up in the air, I worry LED will not produce the heat I need to keep the temps up in my chilly attic
