Advice on my setup

I'm not sure if I'm in the right place but let me know what you think ! I need your expert advice ! Here's what I'm planning on doing.... This is my frist time so I need all the advice you can give me... (Let me know if I forgot something! Thanks in advance for your help !!!

4X8 Tent
2X1000W LED
6-9 under 1 1000W?? in 7.5gal pots (any help?)
3 co2 bags
earth and nurtients will be organic (The guy at the hydro store is helping me on that part)
745cfm fan with carbon filter
I will have a dehumidifier with all the fancy gadgets to control efficiently
4 tower fans in each corner of the tent
I will be start from seed somango XXL from nirvana 25% sativa 75% indica (It reaches a petite maximum of 100 centimeters tall) Flowering period: 8-10weeks.... It is recommended that you give this plant about 9 weeks to reach its full flowering potential. Some growers have found that the plant will finish flowering and can be harvested for its products as early as 8 weeks.
I read a lot and I want to get the best results I can get for a first time....
I read that veg should be 4-8weeks. Any advice and share your experienced? Can I veg with my 1000w? Can I plant them directly into my 7.5 right away ? How close should my light be from my plant? Any advice on things that could increase yield (For example: music, smoking in the tent, talking to your plants? I heard it makes a difference because they are alive!!) Any advice on what I should do from start to finish, for example: should I trim leafs or just feed her and let her thrive !

I would tilt this massive cash load towards CoB's and maybe 6 big plants and drop some of the fancy sheet the hydro store guys are steering you at.

Ok, lots of questions so keep reading all you can. Sounds like you have a good set up to start. How long you can veg is a matter of how much space you have. With 6-9 plants under one light you will need to keep your veg very short.

Recommend you do not start them in final pots, start them in seedling trays and transplant them up every two or three weeks (to Solo cups, then to 1 gal, then 3 gal, then your 7.5 gal). This gives you more opportunities to hit your root balls with myco fungi and you aren't flushing good nutes out of your large pots before the roots can even get there. You can also start them in seedling soil and increase the hotness of soil with each transplant which if far less stressful on them.

Not sure about your light spacing, I don't use LED. 1000W MH would need 2 foot minimum, not sure if that helps.

I do a lot of music and smoking in my greenhouse, but more for me than the plants! I would not recommend smoking unless you have really good air exchange. I also hang Buddist prayer flags and crystals, but bullshit like this is completely secondary to getting the basics down with your grow medium, nutes, lights, air, temp, humidity, etc. There is no magic shortcut, everything has to be optimized to get the big chunky buds.

I would not worry about the CO2 bags on this round. Supplementing CO2 needs to be done at correct levels and correct temps to get the bang for the bucks and I doubt you will be able to dial it in with those bags. But I've never tried them. I think you'll do better focusing on a high rate of air exchange.

Good luck! Enjoy the experience and expect shit to go wrong, there is a lot to learn and most of us didn't focus on things like pest control until we had a problem. Just the way it goes.

Yeah, I'd go with bugeye on the hid lights and like 2 raptor hoods, they fit perfectly in each side of the 4x8; I know I have 4x8s and raptor's.

One thing, guys in the hydro store will help you. But they'll also attempt to sell you as much crap as they can. Imo.

Read, research & ask as many questions from other growers as possible, we're not making any money from you so will speak from experience.
Remember, knowledge is priceless & when it's free, it's all the better.

Co2 is a brilliant idea for a grow, but personally it's unnecessary unless your going to make your grow room air tight.
I tried the co2 bags, personally I didn't notice much if any difference, I'd use a tank; but that's something for another day.

As or your lights, hmmm. Depending on how long you veg, your plants will be bigger.
If your doing a longer run, I'd probably do 4 plants per light, tops.
I veg 9 plants/clones under T5's for weeks per clone, 6 weeks per seed.
I then flower 4 plants (tops) depending on size & strain per 1000w hps.

Your on the right track & seem to already have a brilliant set up.

Honestly I found a really smart guy.... He told me he won't try and sell me all the fancy things because it's pointless if I'm new to growing, it will just confuse me more than anything ! So I think I'll go with 6 plants under 1000w... More energy focused on those plants.... I think I have figured out almost everything except for the vegging ... ! I read that you need to look for the calyx and not confuse them for a branch lol... That's when I'll know it's time for flowering, any opinions on that ?! Do I need to have a few calyx before I know it's time for flowering.. or the minute I see 1 I should switch 12/12 ? and from the begging till my flowering stage what kind of light should I use? (I feel like 1000w is a waste of electricity )

When someone says that, I know they've figured out which pocket my wallet is in lol

To be honest, 1000w is a little much to veg under, especially seedlings.
Try to look for CFL's or maybe a T5 fixture. They'll provide exactly what you need & use considerably less power.
Try eBay, they've several very cheap low watt grow lights that would be ideal for you.

But 1000w is brilliant for flowering plants imo.
(When you look at a seed bank & you see the expected yield - they're using 1000w. But it's grown by professionals)

Ok, here's the best way I can explain a calyx.
when you notice a calyx, it's a sign that your plant is showing its sex.
A plant will typically show its sex within 4-6 weeks depending on the strain.

It's a sign that it is ready to flower, but not that you have too. I've vegged plants for several months, some I use as mother plants - as these are basically an exact copy of the mother plant they've already showed their sex & will be ready to flower as soon as they take root - saving several weeks vegging & cheaper than buying seeds.

It's much more important to watch for if your growing regular seeds.
This how you'll define a female from a male.

Basically, your looking for a little banana shape thing just above a node (branch) with fine hairs coming out.
If you see little balls, congratulations! It's a boy - get rid of it immediately!

Stick with feminized seeds for a grow or two before you try regular seeds.

Don't worry, growing cannabis is like everything, it takes time & effort to achieve what you want.
After all, we all started somewhere so everyone here will understand.
Try looking up "growweedeasy" it's a useful website to growers of all stages.
Check out grow logs too, it'll provide information on how/what their growing & what if any problems they encounter along with how they solved it.

Hi there and welcome to the best hobby around with the benefit of growing your own meds. It's the best when you become self sufficient.
A couple of things about your set up. The other posters offered really good advice and I agree with all of it.
One thing you haven't considered is heat. Lights, dehumidifier, all prOduce a lot of heat. How are you going to cope with that? Just something to think about.
Another area you need to address is basic growing knowledge. You're asking a lot of questions that googling will answer or if you go to www.groweedeasy.com spend a few hours you'll know a lot more. Great site. I use it often.

12-18 weeks of veg ? I've been looking at timber products and HLG.. any advice ? I think I prefer HLG ... The guy from the hydro store says he'll sell me 2-3 nutrient products and will give me a couple bags of different soils to mix, I honestly have no clue lol and I'm looking to get started asap !



What would you suggest ? I was thinking of keeping my room around my tent cool and I thought that just the fan with 745cfm would do the job !

No he is questioning how the hell you think you are going to veg 12 to 18 plants for 8 weeks under 2 led lights. i would be surprised if you could veg 2 plants for 8 weeks under 2 of the led lights you are looking at.
