Hey Guys I'm a new grower and I was wondering what nutrients I should go out and buy like which are the most reliable and we'll off for the plants. For lights I'm really considering getting the 600 w hos and 600 w mh lights is that worth it for 3-5 plants? But my main concern is what soil and nurents to get for the plants. I'm getting barneys farm critical kush , dinafem blue widow and I'm. Debating between. DNA grapefruit diesel, rp og #18 , rp sour kush aka head band, cali connection Tahoe og, 818 head band or DNA genitics secret sour or sour puss please I would greatly appreciate you growers advice. Please get back at me. Thank you!

I completely agree with you I don't want to go crazy on my first time I want to keep it nice and simple I wouldn't mind using the organic stuff but thanks for the reply what do you think about the lighting?

I use the foxfarm trio. the growing medium mix is about 1/3 big pearlite, 1/3 coco, 1/3 washed soil, ( I called the soil washed as it is years old, I leave most of the root system in it, flush mix and reuse). Learn the basics, youtube is your friend! I would not worry about stripping sugar leaves or anything not just basic for the first few times. do not over-water or over nute.. 2 of the most common mistakes the newer grower commits.. do not view your plants when they have started the fruiting cycle. I have walked in on so many grows that are Huge plants with no buds or loose small buds with the explanation that they have been budding for 4 months, " what's wrong with my plants"? I always respond, " you need to leave them in Total darkness, everytime you peek, you either shock them for a week or two or actually turn them back into veg mode"! hope this helps..

The 600 watt fixtures will be perfect for 6 plants packed together. Keeping it as simple as possible I would recommend Tecknaflora BC products. They come in 3 parts, veg/boost/bloom. You use the boost for both bloom and vegetative. Very simple, good price and they work nicely. ( Amazon carries it) Get some Fox Farm Ocean Forest or Happy Frog (I mix them 50/50) The soil you can get at Walmart or Amazon. For flowering I HIGHLY recommend Awesome Blossoms, also at Amazon. IMOP it is the best bloom food out there. 1 product and you are guaranteed fox tails. As far as seeds are concerned, strive to match height and duration of growth of the plants you choose. You don't want to mix a pure Sativa and a pure Indica together for example. A really good plant for beginners is a Blue OG. VERY fast bloom, 7 weeks average, medium height. For a 1st grow, I would use only 2 strains personally, but if you want 6 plants, then do 2 + 2 + 2.. Do not forget your PH tester and your EC/PPM meter. VERY important to have if you want to do it right. Buy them 1st, and the money you have left over buy the seeds with ( if you can) Lastly, if you want to grow 6 plants, do not plant only six seeds. I plant 3 seeds if I want 2 plants. Freebies are perfect for this. You will always have a runt or two, or a seed doesn't germinate so the extra seed always is needed. Anyway, I hope that I have helped, and happy growing. Peace out

600w is great for a 1.2m room
and for a first grow I would have 9 plants

diffent strains can be a problem but it you keep a few pots, tubs ect you can lift the plants so the canopy stays level (top of the plants)

Overwatering is the most common mistake, so fill a pot of soil ( straight out the bag of soil)
And put it in a bag (so you keep it damp), keep it sealed lift the bag and get use to the weight, when you think the plants
Need watering lift the pots they should be the same weight as the bag, any less underwater, any more overwatering

get this right and your onto a good start :)

next if you use bio nutes don't use any nutes till the root mass fills the pots

from a seed takes about 3 week and you will know because the plants will need water every 2 days

repot the plants a week before flower and do the same again till the plants needs watering every 2-3 days (about 3 weeks after repotting ) add tbsp of epson salts in plain water once in week 2,4,6 of flower (gives the plant a boost :)

Give the plants 1.5ml grow and 2.5ml bloom all the way through flower till the last week

you need to check when each strain is done most strain will be done between 8-9 week from 12/12
But some can take longer

Thanks for being real helpful I really appreciate it and my room is roughly bigger so I'll be good but I'm only going to be running about 3-5 plants so hopefully they get stronger, and do I need to repot? Or can I just germinate her and put her straight into a 10gal? And I will do my best to not over feed and over nuet her I'll put pics up of everything as soon as I begin ! Once I order the seeds I'll be set pretty much but I'm still stuck on choicing the last strain sadly

I try to stay at 6.3-6.5 PH in dirt. You should get a hit if you search Blue OG strain on Google. If not, go to Sannies or Attitude I use Attitude, and don't forget the ROLLITUP discount, enter it into the discount box and get 10% off your order. If you find my info useful, I love likes. Peace

The rule of thumb is 1 gallon per month of grow. What I do is germinate in a seed starter peat pot,( little 2" round or square) after a week or so I put the little peat pot and all into a 3 gallon pot, and leave them there until the end. Larger than that indoors for an 8 week plant is overkill in my opinion. Peace

Don't go up a container every month, you penis, if you can begin and end in the same container, that is optimum. That's why I use small peat pots, and 3 gal containers. Once the roots start to penetrate the sides and bottom of the peat pots then, put them into their FINAL pot. The less transplanting the better, period( I only call friends, penis by the way). Now I want a Rep, or I will never answer a question from you again, ever. Peace munchkin.( that should be your name) lol

Lmao don't worry I didn't take it a bad way :hump: but I kinda freaked when I read go up a gal every month cause I thought you shouldn't transplant so much cause it'd hurt her... And okay okay calm down don't do something you'll regret lol .. now how the he'll do you rep someone lol

Actually, I have no idea how to Rep someone, as I have never found one worthy on this site to receive my praise. Maybe UB, and if you hang around long enough, you will know what I mean. Peace

jimdamick beat me to it lol
3 gal pot is spot on for indoor plants, you can start off in 2" pot but I like the 1ltr pot and then re pot into a 3 gal pot
used to think I had to ph my nutes but if your growing organic in soil its rare you will get any problems so I don't ph my nutes any more

if your only growing 3-5 plants under a 600w you will need to top and pull the sides down to open the canopy up, last thing you want is wasted space in the flower room as this could cost you oz's

don't know much about different strains fellow as I pick a strain and run it for few crops, for me its all about training my plants to get the best out of them
