Aero cloner questions

Hey y'all, I just got an aero cloner. I've used one before, but I didn't get much experience with it, and it was quite a while ago. So, my 1st question is, do you run the pump constant, or on a timed schedule?

2nd question, what should the temp of the res be? My intuition says 68°f, but then I think that it might be too cold for forming roots?

Somewhere around 30-60 seconds on and 3-4 minutes off is the magic ratio IME. Good balance of air/water and keeps the pump cool.

As far as res temps, the cuttings won’t be suspended directly in the solution, or for very long after they root out anyway. You can stick a probe in one of the foam collars, hanging down a little bit just like a cutting, and measure temps from there (the spray) until you dial in the solution where you want it.

Good lookin out. Where do you get a timer, that runs those cycles?

You can do it many ways
Never saw anything that made me say I need this
24/7 still produces roots
Anything including an hour off an hour on works
The thing is off and on increases cost of power not to mention wear and tear on pumps and timers
Ultimately I ended up leaving it on constant
In the end depending on the strain I end up getting antsy around six days
But usually have 98% rooted in two weeks

i run my pumps 24/7 however i use 15gl reservoirs to keep the cloning solution from getting too hot. I like it to run between 75-80f. Clonex and pool shock in the solution. I get 98% roots in 2 weeks. Here's 600+ clones in my setup. Best of luck
