If you're already on your second set of nutrients, and your plants are only 2 weeks old, you might be overfeeding them. I'd consider flushing the entire reservoir, and replacing it with distilled water. Keep them off nutes for a day or two, and then start them on a 1/2 diluted solution of nutes. Plus, it's crucial that you check that pH, especially if you've been adding this many nutes early on.

I had a pH problem that was causing a similar kind of burn, check out my grow journal!

Deff dont add nutes until 2 weeks old. Then once a week.

Is there any branching activity yet at the third node? If so, I'd say you're safe to top 'em. I did it a little early, before side shoots started coming in at the fourth node where I topped, and it kind of fucked it up. Instead of two new vertical shoots growing from the node, I got one, and its growing practically sideways. I posted a pic take a look. Just make sure you see a little bit of growth between the main stem and the fan leaf at the node where you are going to top.

NOOOO don't snip the branches silly, snip the main stalk of the plant *just above* those branches. Those branches will be your new primary growth shoots. I was saying make sure the start of those branches are there, then cut the main shoot just above that node. That is the purpose of topping, cut the head off of your plant, and those branches will form two new heads in its place.

Here's a pic of where I cut mine. Keep in mind there should be branches just above each fan leaf, each on opposite sides of the main shoot. The fact that there is only one on my plant is a bit of an anomaly...:-|

This is a picture of what you should end up with if you do everything right. This is a different plant that had both of its side branches at the node I topped, you can see where I cut the main shoot, and that the side branches grow vertically to produce two new prominent vertical shoots. :hump:

alright. I'm gonna put some pics up, you tell me what you think is the best thing to do. I really dont want to mess this up, I put a lot of time in it lol.:weed:

I'm here for you bro, no worries its really easy, just make sure you have a sharp blade like a razor blade or a pair of nice pruning shears.

Cut right here, just above those little branches. In a couple days you'll see them turn into the main vertical shoots on the plant. It should keep the plant much shorter. The other plus is that the branches from the bottom of the plant will grow while the top is stunted, so they'll catch up and should be closer to the same height. Four shoots right up next to the light instead of one, can't complain right?

Oh, one more thing. Don't freak out if you don't see new growth for a couple of days. Doing this shocks the plant a lil bit, in a couple days you'll see those new branches start to take off.

lol will do. I just felt weird cutting my plants. Putting all time into it, then cutting the top. WTF:o lol j/k

Hopefully all goes well I just topped the one, so far. The one i had the picture you showed me. I'm just hoping it wast too early.
