Aerocloner Issues

I built my first aerocloner from a 5 gal bucket a couple weeks and took a few clones off a Delicious Seeds Caramelo. The problem is they havent showed any roots yet. Its been 13 days and I know they will root eventually, but can anyone verify that by using Olivias Cloning Gel that I just dip stems into and dont refridgerate would cause slow rooting? Ive read that it does, but does anyone have experience first-hand with it? I know I should pour out the gel and discard whats leftover, but I just recently read that also. It normally takes nearly 3 weeks to get roots in my old method using the gel as is, I was hoping this way would root faster, and if the gel is whats slowing them down, next time I will clone without it. Thanks.

not sure but this has been my experience with cloning, when i first started cloning i used the black tray and humidity dome with rootech gel and rapid rooter plugs , that was about three years ago , now about a month ago i built one of the rubbermaid tote homemade cloner , my first 8 clones i cut and put in it I cut them then in a bowl of water i cut the cuttings at an angle and scraped the sides of the cuttings lower inch , then i dipped them in the remaining 3 year old rootech and stuck them in the little neoprene inserts i bought for my cloner , i also put 2 ml of the rootech in the cloners 5 gal of water (dont know if i should have) . After 13 days with nothing , finally they started bumping and rooting , after like two and a half weeks they started to grow long whte roots , oh yah a couple died though cause i used cheap home depot sprayers that did not cover everything ,oh also i ended up drilling like ten tiny tiny tiny holes on the sprayer manifold to get more coverage but in my ignorance made things worse , what kind of sprayers did you use ?

I dont remeber the brand of nozzles, but they are green 360 degrees. I have 6 in the bucket, everything gets covered well. Im just concerned the root gel is slowing them down. I have an aloe vera cutting that rooted in 4 days. Everything is nice and green and the cuttings arent drooping, just slow to root. Next round I wont use any gel and see what happens.
