I am going to start a journal on my new aeroflo 60. I am new to the forum. I have grown in soil for years now with great success but now want a change. So here i am doing aeroponics. I have the aeroflo 2 60 site with 4 600 digital lumnatek. hortilux bulbs. passive intake, exhaust, all aircooled. AC and dehu in the room. tri meter to moniter ph temp and ppm. I am going to use all 60 sites. The strain i am using is GDP. My clones are all fully rooted in rockwool cubes now and are ready to be transplanted into the aeroflo, i plan to veg untill i get a good amount of roots and 12 inches in height then i will flower, i want to lolipop as they grow. 1st question I have is do I use the mini coco pots that are included with the system along with the hydroton? Is it nessacary for them to root through the coco pots even though they have allready been rooted in the rockwool cubes? I tried 1 clone in the system for fun. I used floro series nutes ( really light) PH 5.7 water temp 65 it took the clone approx. 12 days for the roots from the rockwool cube to pass through the coco pots into the chamber. This seems way to long. Please give me advise before I throw all 60 rooted clones into the machine. I will provide pics within 24 hours. Oh yeah, have a happy new years.

I would flower at 18", but thats up to you. Get rid of the coco liners. They just slow things up. I would go to your hyrdo shop and get net pots with a tighter mesh so that the hyrdoton doesn't pass thru. That's a problem with the OEM GH pots unless you use the coco liner. Once you are sure that the clones have rooted ( I root mine right in the AF) I like to tape down the edges of the cups with aluminum tape. (about 12" of tape on either side of the cup). If you don't do this, the cups have a tendency to tip to one side of the other as the plants get bigger, causing the plants to lean.
