yes because of the space i have i dont want the plants to get to tall. if i start to flower now they should end up about 3 feet tall.

day 41... im getting excited now. they are growing really fast i topped them on day 34 and ive allready got growth of 2 inches on the biggest plant.

day 44.. I added another small ag nute tab and added water to the res. No signs of sex yet, but because the size of the sun leaves some parts of the plants arent getting as much light.(I moved the lights back to take pics) I was wondering if trimming some to the leaves would hurt my yeild or the health of my plants, if i should even worry about it. So far so good though.

Also I noticed that the stems are turning almost like a purple color. If you look at the close up pic you can see what im talkin about. I havent seen that in anybodys pics. What could this be caused by? Is it bad?

i only have 4 right now. but their still sprouts im going to add a y splitter adding 3 more cfl's. total of 7. then a couple weeks later ill add another 3 total of 10, 100 watt cfl's. plus the AG hood.

I have four cfls and two 4 foot florecent plant lights, and planning on adding more cfls asap.

Hi - Looking good but I think you can get more veg out of them if you add some better nutes. I use Fox Farm (it's all organic) and they work pretty good for me.
i killed the smaller 3 they were just getting sufficated by the other plants. heres some updated pics from today. tell me what ya think
You think that was a good thing to do before you sex them? How do you know? What if you killed all your ladies????
couple of questions, does topping the plant make it grow outward more than upward?
if so, when should it be done so it doesnt grow into the lights, i want my growth smaller and bushy rather than tall
mines 9 days old, normal aerogarden so not going be tall anyway, sprouted within 2 days of putting it in sponge, everything good so far, just gonna let the aerogarden do its thing

You seen the pics, im assuming, so the 3 plants i killed were in bad shape i didnt want to risk the whole crop. Some times you have to take a chance, why not Columbus did.

Topping will help keep the total height down and im sure in the same sence make it more bushy. you want to keep your lights as close to the plant as possible, with the cfls i keep them about 3 or 4 inches away. As for when to do it i waited til my 4th week but ive heard many do it above the 5th node.
im on day 13, second set of leaves are starting to come through but there are yellow spots, i read earlier same thing happened to you guys but my second set of leaves are curling a bit, is it the light? i havnt added any nutes yet, should i add one? and if the nute tablet hits the root will it burn it at all??
