Thanks Dblnkl. I used the nutes that come with the AG for now. I haven't used the FF nutes yet. I just ordered a TDS testing monitor cuz I don't want to hurt my kids. I figure I'll wait to research it some more before I try it. My last crop with the AG nutes was okay, but this time, I want to do better. With all I've been reading, testing the PPM and Ph is real important. I found a TDS meter for about $20 with shipping. I also just ordered some seeds that are Lowryder Dwarf which I think they said were autoblooming or something like that . Does anyone know anything about growing this strain. I think its fairly new and fast growing. I'm a little worried about the shipping part, but I read a lot of good about Attitude, so hopefully there won't be a problem.

Be careful w/ the fox farm, after talking to the ff help rep; who told me to disregard Ec/ ppm and just follow the directions, I almost lost the whole crop to nitrogen burn. Had to dump the res and start over at about 1/2 recomended strength. Are you using any other nutes in addition to the big bloom? Ec/ppm is just as important as ph.
Just my 2c's. I use FF nutes exclusively and mix it to directions BUT, if you look at the ppm's you get by doing that in the FF feeding schedule, they are way to high for MJ and will burn them or maybe even kill them.

For me, I have to use a ppm meter to adjust the nutrient level to whatever stage of growth they are in. You can get a $20 one off ebay. Make sure it's like a 1-14 range meter, a wide range one. I use 400-500 early veg. 600-800 in heavy veg. I go to 1000-1100 in full flowering and take it back down to 400-500 ppm in late flowering until I flush. Fox Farm nutes work great and they are ORGANIC. Just shake the crap out of the bottle and mix it in really good. If you use to to top off your tank, be sure to shake it really good again. Some stuff settles on the bottom so you need to do that every time you top.

I took the plunge and purchased an areogarden pro 200. It just arrived today! I am waiting on some clones from a friend of mine and should have them next week. So, in the mean time i just tossed some decent seeds in it for now to see what this thing can do. On a side note, where do most of you get your seeds?

Well, my seedlings are two weeks old and the water was getting low, so I took a chance and put in some FF big bloom. The ppm reads about 713, so I'm a little worried I put in too much. We shall see, I think I may take a little out and add some water. I added the 150 watt HPS light and it seems to be helping a lot.

I've only used bag seed from people I know, but I'm waiting for some Lowryder2 Dwarf autoflowering from a seed company, Attitude, where you get a discount if you put in code 420. I'm hoping I get them successfully, heard good things, mostly.

Sounds like one of three things. Your pH is really off, You have a salt buildup or you're overfeeding them. Regardless, you can drain your tank and refill it using bottled spring water to mix your nutes. Change it out everytime you add new nutrients (every 2 weeks). Top off with ph'd bottle water between flushing. Gets rid of salts and waste. You gotta do that. You using stock AG nutes? Hard to tell exactly without more info & maybe a pix. ... GOT LIGHTS? It's a start.
(Cant resist a hot avitar..lol.)
