fifth season.com sells starter plugs that fit perfect in the AG holes without the basket . Plants roots explode with them.very cheap

I'm almost 3 months out and all i can say is DON'T PANIC!! My aerogarden came with the salad green nutes and that is all I've been using. I am on filtered well water and the unit is in a small cupboard with aluminium foil lining the wall as a reflector. Growth does start slowly but then it picks up very quickly. I've been on a 12/12 cycle with an external timer and figure 8 power cord now for about 1 month and have had to trim the leaves many times as they have reached the height of the lights repeatedly.

In the last 2 weeks or so, the budding and flowering has been excellent and looking forward to harvesting soon.
In other words, there hasn't been any need to buy anything additional such as other nutes or accessories.

got any pics of your AG set-up?

I'll take some pics of mine tonight. they're still kinda small but they do look healthy. They're on the 3rd internode right now and I'll probably top them on the 4th or 5th.

Hey guys I got a free AG and have been browsing the web for howto's on to make this work for weed. I bought some seeds from the netherlands and got them safe and sound, didn't read early enough to just pay for the feminized seeds though.

This thread is very interesting and I'm learning quite a bit. Right now I have my seeds germinating using the plate, bowl, and wet paper towel method. Once they get to a quarter inch I plan on putting them into the sponges I cut to replace the sponges in the AG things.

Since this was a free device for me I got it with the herbs already growing. So I cut them out and now I have no dome for the "pods" and I plan on using a shot glass (how long should I do that and is it necessary? I put Tin foil on the top and plan on buying an aerator. I will be using 5 of the holes assuming 2 or 3 will be males. Plus I only have 5 pods at this time. I also need nutrients, can someone just send me to a link to buy this. I have some liquid miracle grow, can I use that?

Also I hear humidity will help in making my plants female? Is that true and if it is since I'm in florida should I set it outside, hidden of course, in my screened in porch to just let it soak in the humidity. It's been averaging about 90 here, probably 85 in the shade.

Thanks in advance, i'm aware that most of these questions have probably been answered somewhere, but a direct answer to my situation is a lot more assuring.

This is what is considered a hijack. No mention of the original poster's question/direction, and all about your grow. (we all have been guilty of it and probably to repeat.) Then the wrap up of that you know all your Qs are probably answered elsewheres..... Feel free to start your own thread. Hell, they *are* free.

Male vs male was determined before they picked the seeds. Hermies are environmental results.

The shot glass is fine. Use hydroponics type of nutes and pH for hydroponics.

Nice... Hopefuly when those roots hit the bottom it will grow faster.
I read somewhere that someone used additional light... Is there really space for that? Can u use a different lamp and just use the AG chamber???

Yo Von, I have a board with 2 18" flo tubes attached and lean it up against the AG with a small fan blowing always to make the stems sturdy. The flo tubes seam to really help the growth on bottom that AG lights dont reach.

I have an AG Deluxe, and I am using the provided nutes, and I have a small fan blowing on a single plant, and it has been 2 wks since germination. THe plant is 3" tall and bushy. The plant is doing well, but it does not seem to grow taller, only bush out as it grows, does anyone know of the cause of this? I have never grown aeroponically before, so I am just wondering if it is normal for a MJ plant to grow more secondary branches than just growing taller, it is just a bag seed form some chrondo that I had quite a while ago.

Any thoughts/ideas would be awesome.

Bushy is good. But relax. Its a couple weeks. It will do its thing. Do you have an air stone/pump in the res also? If not its quite recommended.

Not as of yet, but today, i plan on hitting the hydro shop to get one to set up. I got a little nute burn, and I flushed the res 2times, is there anything I can do besides that?

How long do I want to circulate fresh nute free water in the res after nute burn???
My plant looks like shit b/c i am one impatient mofo! Air stone is in and running, but I am worried I will kill the little guy if I add any new nutes too fast.

Any suggestions?
