AeroGardens???

I posted this in the general gardening forum and then noticed this forum so I thought I'd post it here a well.

I have been doing some research on the net about Aero Gardens and have pretty much decided to get one.

I just thought I'd ask what your opinions of them are?

Any advantages or disadvantages? I have read about the noise problem quite a few people have had with the pumps but noise won't really make a difference to me so it's a non-issue.

Anything else I should be aware of?

depending on your model it don't go 12/12 so your have to get a separate wire and timer for the light and adding a bubbler seems to help alot

NONE of them have a 12/12 cycle. You'll need to unplug the light, add a figure 8 cord ($8 @ radio shack) and plug it into a seperate timer ($6-$10) to flower.

I heard/read the new deluxe model, the AeroGarden 200, has full control over everything including the lights. Is that not true?

Also, what's a figure 8 cord?

No, I have a 200 and that's not true. You can call AG cust serv. to verify if you want.
A fig 8 cord has a fig 8 connection at one end. Like for a video game, maybe. Unplug the Aerogarden cord from the back of the lamp and you'll see what I mean..

im growin in the first aerogarden that came out, it is great my plant is healthy 10 inches tall and ill be flowering in a few weeks..dont listen to the Aerogarden haters, i bought some nutrients otehr than the nutes that AG came with, if you have a ps2 the figure 8 cord is exactly the same as a ps2 power cord, it will fit into the hood with lights so you can plug that into the hood and the hood into a timer for 12 12

Thanks for that. That makes it a lot clearer. Sounds easy enough.

What AG nutes did you use or find best for growing pot as I can't get any other nutes for hydroponics/aeroponoics ?
