Aeroponic sump ventilation

Hi folks,My question is,do you need to ventilate the aeroponic tank/root zone with fresh air?

if the roots are sitting in still water i would say it needs an air stone.

I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking about just using an aerator at the end of the out tube from the chiller and letting it splash back into the reservoir. I'm not positive that this will be effective, though...
