i have a few questions about aeroponics. can you grow big with them? do they compare to dwc results? the area were they grow seems small to me? if i get a 16 site aerponic set-up under a 600watt hps, can i expect good results?? how many times a day do you feed and water? the system im looking at is called clone and grow.

There are several factors to consider:
type of strain
nutes
feed cycle
co2
etc.....

but to answer your question... Yes you can get about 1.5lb./hood. Well that's my expectations of course.

i wouldnt go with aeroponics as the ones we rig up arent TRUE aeroponics. real aeroponics would be that the roots get misted with very very small droplets, and only for a fraction of a second. This only coats the roots with nute solution and is taken in instantly by the roots, allowing them to oxygenate for the remainder of time before another little burst of mist. If you will use sprayers and mist for even more than 15 seconds you are basically doing a dwc. so i wud say do dwc. bucket, water, an airpump and hose thats all dude. And yes, you should expect good yield with a 600watt as long as youre keeping sq ft rite

Well, it seems like alot of the aeroponic guys find their way to the dwc world.

Must mean something ;)

Whether it is true aeroponics or not you will not get the growth rate of aero using DWC plain and simple
Can you get this much growth in one month under a 250w HPS using DWC?

True Aeroponic Grow (TAG) also known as High Pressure Aero (HPA) is not for noobs, unless the noob has a laboratory background. However, it is something to strive for as it is the most efficient of all systems. It is also the most root friendly. In case you aren't aware the better we get at knowing what the roots need (and when) the better our harvests will be.

It is easy to DIY using Rubbermaid tubs tog row and small 12-15 liter plastic storage boxes to start seedlings/clones. Pump, fittings and mist heads are available from Reptile Basics. It is a good idea to allow for several inches of pH balanced water in the root chamber just in case of pump failure. I have had no problem with my Aquatek pump. I am on my third grow and it cycles on every 3 minutes-24/7.
