hello, I am new here and have an issue I cant seam to figure out. I have a set of babies growing in aeropots, and only some of them have this white mold like substance growing on the out side of the bag and i cant seam to get rid of it.

setup:
4x4 grow tent
2 400w lights in cool-tube, 6'' carbon filter, 540cfm fan... lights and fan on 24/7 (helps keep house warm ) 2 40watt 6000k florescent tubes.

1gallon aeropots - these pots were previously used indoor and had to be put outdoor during the summer time due to conditions beyond my control. after harvest, and before i brought them inside i soaked them in a bucket of hot water over night.

fox-farms ocean forest soil.

room is kept a solid 70* at all time,

I also have a 400w dehumidifier running to keep the place not so steamy.

strain is a mix i made myself of a GDP male and an additional unknown purple strain.

the mold apeared about a week after i planted the seeds. it was making the whole house smell like mold. i removed the plants from the tent and sprayed them, and the pots down with a fairly heavy concentration of neem oil and water wich didnt really do anything. the pics below were taken this morning, last night i had sprayed the pots again, so this mold is fresh grow since last night.... the mold is only on a select few of the pots, and hasnt spread to the other container... yet

hey man, i'm no pro as i'm on my first grow but my rockwool had simillar mold and a few squirts of some 3-1 (safe for garden) fungicide/pesticide/miticide took care of my issue. i sprayed about 5-6 sprays onto each rockwool cube just before lights out and by lights on the problem was gone and hasn't returned...

but like i said- i don't know all that much about it- so take my advise with a grain of salt.

White mold in soil CAN be a good thing. You want lots of beneficial fungi in your soil. I've had growth like that on top of my soil and on the sides of cloth pots, and didn't notice any problem. The growth I had did not smell, so it's possible you have a different variety.

Looks like you need to transplant your girls into 2gal rose pots. they should fit your setup fine. Mold is bad. I dont care if it is black, white, grey, or purple. That stuff may attach to your buds. Clean your rez with 90% iso alcohol. Make sure it is all evaporated before filling it up again. Also, sugar is anti fungal so putting some into your rez will help too. Happy cleaning.
