HPS (Red) is recommended for flowering. Light schedule is fine, some run 20/4, others 18/6.

Good luck.

even for autoflowers? I have a room for vegging and a room for flowering, but I am told autoflowers stay on same light schedule the whole time, so the red is best for autoflowers?

Use the blue one till they start flowering then go with red till harvest....
they are autoflowering, so they have been flowering since they were 2 weeks old. I was told they do not change lights because of autoflowering. So do they keep same light schedule but change lights, or keep same light schedule and same lights?

I was told from beginning to end same with lights.

I guess I am a bit confused because of being told they start and finish in about 2 months, and to NOT change the lights. That these were convenient because you never have to change the lights, but I guess it could have meant only not changing light schedule. So autoflowers you do have to change the light and not the amount of time?

You'll be fine if you switch out your lights. Autoflowers are not photoperiod dependent so they will continue to flower regardless what you do with the lights. Your lights will be fine but red spectrum lighting will benefit your plant the flowering budding stages. The only thing you absolutely don't wanna do with your autos is repot them, once you mess with that root balll they seem to stunt really badly and never recover in my experience.

Do what youy wanna do , they both will work just HPS promotes better flower (bud) growth and since yours are in bud stage then you might as well put them under the hps but same schedule 18/6.

if you have to pick on light for the entire grow, either mh or hps, then chose hps. if you can run mh for the first 3 to 4 weeks, with the remain 6 or so weeks under a hps light.

good luck.
