Affordable LED lighting

He was calling your lights junk I think. Everyone's on that cob cock now...myself included lol but it's rather pricey to start so build what you can little by little
more like a very vocal minority. still a lot of T5,CFL and HID growers here.we don't need the false claims or hard sell to defend our lights. they are time proven technology

I don't doubt them. I got cfl, fluro ( t12 tho lmfao ), led light bulbs, and that 250w cob build I mentioned atm lol... maybe I miss understood him idk if so my apologies

I was going to go with hid to but thinking about having to deal with all that heat scares me. Temps here go from -5°f to 105°f when ever it feels like it lol. They use to say if you don't like the weather just wait a minute, it'll change.

For the kit you got from rapidled, what color did you select? Just curious what your preference was. I'm looking at the 3500k for the whole cycle.

I wanted the 3500k but it said sold out and I went with 5000k.... the day I got it they got 3500k back in Stock lol.. I also got the " non dimmable " driver but it's still dimmable lol made a little thread about it over in led lighting feel free to add to it so I can see what you did diff swap ideas ect

I like it but I feel like it's a small powerhouse and idk if I would have preferred the same wattage but more spread out. If you look through the site well enough they have the same stuff in the timber kits but you gotta put it all in your cart separately and not pre built

I bought a few of the galaxy hydro 300w off amazon. I don't even use them anymore because the spectrum is trash. Way too much red for veg and not strong enough for flowering. I sometimes use them as supplemental lighting but besides that I regret my purchases.

Nothing 'wrong' with Timber, but you can buy a Amare P3 (300w) fully assembled with warranty for around $600, maybe less https://www.amaretechnology.com/product-page/f612e1c5-2458-ebed-37d5-7c6e9aa052fb
Why would you spend 600$ on 3 cxb 3070? They're 20% less efficient than timbers offering and timber Has 4 cobs For 400$ The amare won't have even close to the same PPFD as a 600$ timber light. A little bit of reds and blues added don't compensate for brute PPFD.

600$ for about 66$ (3 cxb 3070)of cobs is just absurd. Amare only uses the 3070 to put more money in their pockets.

No try again. I have both white cobs and white with red and blue and the cobs were better all around. Amare is just over priced lights for people that want to believe extra hype. Watt for watt you'd get the same with all white cobs as the amare gets. Well actually more because the monos are as not efficient as cobs at making light.

Try what again? It is the answer to the question you asked.

Plus credibility and results are based on skills of the grower. Petflora is obviously a better grower than you are so he is far more credible.

Does that answer your question better?

Let's begin with there is more to growing than data, though it certainly has value. Whether your info is 100% accurate, I have no clue. What I do have a clue about is 3+ years of results using Amare. Does that mean they can't be bettered? Of course not, but they return their initial investment in the very first grow, and thereafter, many fold, and that's good enough for me.

You should make a cob and chilled diy kit together. Same thing as the amare pro 9 but quite a bit more light for quite a bit less money. Or timber light mixed with the CLW SS 550 that would still be more light and less money and you could turn down the blue for flower or red during veg.

Free co2 from candles too!!!
Been experimenting with candles for 3-4 months now and as long as they are plain white safety candles the amount of co2 they produce far out weighs the carbon monoxide produced, people will argue that the color of the flame means it's not producing clean co2 when in reality we learned in school that the color of the flame has to due mainly with the temperature its burning at! 1 safety candle produces an extra 50-200 ppm to my 8x8 grow room . 50 with ventilation around 200 without! Seriously thinking of scraping my co2 burner...

Have you seen the numbers in person? Not with you sitting in the room exhaling. I've tried the candles trick back in the day. They say the burn off clogs the plant up. Also I don't think you're getting very good ppm with a candle. Based off my experience.
