Thanks, psuagro! What do you mean by top cover? Just cover up the top of the pots so light doesnt hit the medium? Or is this something else? I'll take any help I can get to keep these girls from drying up too much while I'm gone.

Yep ^^^you got it.......slows down evaporation, but you have smartpots/they will transpire regardless......thought of maybe using a DIY wick system??

Thanks for the clarification. I'm going to cover the pots to see if it will help while I'm gone. DIY wick system, haven't thought of that yet, but did some reading about it a while back. I can try to rig something up. Thanks for the great ideas, I'm sure with a combination of solutions I should be able to make it through the 5 days of vacation.

Good Morning. Day 2 of 12/12. The Lavender are about twice as tall as the Afgoo, but the Afgoo are bushier. They look great, I'm stoked with how they are turning out. Should be a nice run when all is said and done. Sorry for lack of labels for the pics. Rushing out the door for work. Next official update will be on Sunday or Monday for the end of week 1 / start of week 2.

Hey puffy! It's been a little bit since I've checked in... The girls look great... You decided to just grow them natural? No topping or anything?

Thanks, Psy! Glad to have you around. i'll take all the luck (and rep) I can get. Going on vacation for 5 days in a couple weeks so it will be the longest I've left my girls unattended. I plan on just drenching them before I leave and keep my fingers crossed...i may turn off 1/2 the lights to try and make the water evaporate at a slower pace. Hopefully that won't fuck them up by confusing them, hoping they just think its a cloudy/overcast week. What do you guys think?
Five days without summer heat shouldn't be too much of a problem... I'd say cut one of the lights, Give the girls a hefty drink just before you leave and cover the top of your pots with... anything. Smart pots or not most of your evap is being lost from the top. I think a combination of those three and you'll be set. I'd even hazard a guess that the girls might still even be moist after five days...

What's up amaximus, appreciate the comment and advice. Yeah, no topping or training, but I will probably start supercroppung the lavender soon because they are pretty tall compared to the afgoo. I'm for sure going to turn off some if the lights while im gone, drench the shit out of them, cover the tops of the pots, and keep my fingers crossed. I'm keeping faith they should be fine.

Week 2 of 12/12 update. Push, baby, push those flowers out! Need to bend the Lavender because they are waaaay taller than the Afgoo are. I'll start that this week, maybe next when the stretching is all hopefully over. Will get pics up showing where the bends will be. Tried to get some different angles of the tent. As I'm typing this I just realized the environment monitor still isn't in the tent, so that's going to be in the next update for sure...and possibly a co2 bag...stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel.

man your plants are so healthy, I always endup with a few fan leaves that are destroyed by water burn or half ripped for one reason or another, in all of your pictures, all plants have perfect beautiful leaves good job man, cant wait for your tent to be loaded with big frosty buds :bigjoint:

EDIT Be careful with the bending I did that when I came back from work back in June after being gone for over 2 weeks and I had to do it, I believe that it might be why I had seeds in my buds, from the stress of being bent during flowering. Not sure though but go easy! might be best just to top it you are still early enough I guess... I just didnt have good results with my main cola that was half bent. 20 days into flowering, it never recovered enough to grow a fat main cola and it was still too close to the light as well. If you chop it the rest might get huge, I am not there to see but yeah dont listen to me... do what makes sense!!

Thanks endor0! theres a couple ugly leaves here and there but for the most part they are nice and healthy. Thanks for the advice on bending, I plan to do it gradually over the course of a week or so as to not shock them. I'll start rubbing the stems to soften up the tissue and then start working their necks down, rather than just snapping from the get go. Worked for me on my 3 kings and snow dream pretty well so I'm not too worried.

Thanks for the compliment, thr afgoos have turned out very lovely, nice and bushy with a bunch of branches everywhere, would have suited a scrog perfectly. Go apache is right, love that light. If I didn't have lumigrow on the brain id be dreaming about another at120wr.

With great sadness, I must inform you that this grow has come to an end. Some unforeseen circumstances have arisen which are making my grows get put on hold for at least a month or two. Don't worry, the girls have been adopted by a good buddy of mine so they will be loved greatly in their new home. I'll still be around on the forum, just won't have my own journal going anymore. It's sad because I've found peace of mind while gardening, but I know its just temporary. I'll be back soon and better than ever.

Big thanks to everyone who has been following my grows, I really appreciate all the kind words and advice. Stay classy riu. Peace and its officially done.
