After removing dead fan leaves yesterday can i remove others that av died today?

Once any leaf is more than 50% damaged, it is drawing resources from the plant, rather than giving resources so it is best to remove them. Many say to let the leaves fall naturally but I feel it is best to remove them. Those in the pics I would be removing since they are blocking light to other healthy leaves. JMO W

A plant is constantly drawing from the dying leaf. It does not become a burden to the plant after its 50% dead. Seasoned growers just allow them to fall naturally, the plant will shed them once its done drawing all the goodies it has stored in ithem. You should study up on 'source leaves' and 'sink leaves'. And just because we see a shadow being cast by a leaf does not mean its not receiveing any light. Photosynthetically active radiation passes through the canopy. And penetration depth is related to light strenght. Lumens and shadows people see. Photosynthetically active radiation is what the plant sees......

I agree in the flowering mode the plants job is take all it resources and use them twords making the biggest stinkiest buds. now if you were to take half of that energy away say a 50% dead leaf thats 50% of that leafs resourses that are now wasted because it has been taken away. so it now has to start on a new leaf. the same way with any other fruit the plant will do anything it can to ensure that the fruit it bears is in the best condition it can be with the resourses given. I would "leaf" it till it falls off!

Lett it fall off unless its a huge fan leave blocking bud sites, Its good to let the plant draw any nutes stored in the leaves b.c it will use the energy stored. If theyre already budding intensely, trim big leaves to expose bud sites and maintain your bloom nutrient schedule. Removing the leaves is good and bad, just depends on how yu grow.

will look it up ,'source leaves' and 'sink leaves' probaly the info i av bin lookin for, as its a scientific type answer it will interest me, coz as obvious as it may seem to pluck dead or dying leafs and i av just done some myself but from my question ( should i continue to take awy leafs ) well i av not as yet n will google what u sugested n av a read up, as nature takes care of itself no body to take there dead foilage away so i dig ur answer !! thanx m8

I don't think it really matters take it off or leave the leave on its dead or dying it not drawing nothing from the plant that why its dying:lol:I thought the stem were one way streets:clap:I'll take'em off once their about gone just to thin it out for better lighting~What you really need to know is what cause this so you can save'em or have a better grow next time. I forgot what dirt and nutrients your using. It could be a ph issues or nutrients deficiencie I don't think it burnt but I ain't no expert:!:

wow dude u deserve a standing O.
outside i would be more liberal about pruning....but inside i just leave them. it's just what I DO. other pros here endorse it. and how much of a difference does it make at harvest time? prolly very little

I wouldn't like any of my fan leaves to drop off! Even during flowering although it dose happen and not a big deal if it is only one or two of the bottom ones.

I suppose growers will argue as to wether to leave them or pull them, personally i leave them till there completly dead, as long as the vascular system is still going the leaf is producing and of no burden to the plant, also if you let them drop the plant can heal itself better as there is no open wound for virus or bacteria to vector.

One thing i notice in flowering is all the new formed bud leaves have a very big surface area which kinda puts my few fan leaves to shame, i see that even if i loose a few fan leaves it is no great deal on the total surface area of the total leaves at that time. I would be worried if i lost a lot of fan leaves or they kept on dropping, would make me think i wasnt giving enough ferts maybe.

Yer you are a grouchy old d!ckhead whatchhowidoit but obviously know how to grow and helped me out a lot in the past thanks!lol! Peace

You pay attention, yet still not enough. 'Sources and Sinks'..."Lumens and Shadows'...
And you are very much welcome Buster. Keep reading and researching.

edit- do youself a favor, all of you, and give a shit less about they 'wound' left behind...
