Agricultural lime?

I have this stuff called "agricultural lime". It has Ca, Mg, and Calcium Carbonate. It's pelltized vs. dolomite lime powder/flour.

Is this stuff a substitute for the dolomite lime powder/flour? Same dosage? Does it break down slower with pellets vs. powder?

FWIW, this stuff is more available at 'regular' garden stores vs. dolomite.

Agricultural lime IS the same as dolomitic lime......... just depends on what the packaging company decides to call it. Always use powder when available- it breaks down sooner. I use 4 cups lime per 3.8 cu ft. of pro mix. I guess that's about 4-5 tablespoons per 4-5 gallon pot.

You're GTG.

Agricultural lime is usually calcitic lime, but can also be dolomite. They can label it either way. Garden lime and soil sweetener is also used. As long as the ingredient list reads like you posted, it's good.

Pellets are usually powdered lime formed into pellets with a fast dissolving binder. The binder dissolves and releases the powder with the first watering or so. It is easier to work with than the powder. Especially outside on a breezy day.
