Recently set up this led and am curious if others in this forum have used it for vegging seedlings and clones. Heard from store a 20 inch buffer is necessary to prevent burning stuff. With less heat you might be tempted a bit closer....

I'd say more like 30" for seedlings, they dont need too much light.
Or dim the light to min ~ 200 watts or so.
I think the 20" you are referring to is on full blast for flowering. Looking at above map that would be about right.
