its going to take up to much room inside a 3x3. I for a 4x4 i just aim my ac towards the intake it works well.

Don't put the unit inside the tent, that's not necessary and takes up valuable space. Just seal the air coming from the a/c unit straight into the intake. And make sure no one is going to be walking by the exhaust that runs out your window. Could get you busted.

For a space that small, I'd put a window AC in the room the tent sits in, then use a duct fan to circulate the air between the tent and the room. Portable ACs are more expensive and less efficient than window AC's.

ive looked into getting a window unit and everything but in a 3x3 im willing to flower 3 plants and have room for a small ac inside if itll help keep a better enviroment for the plants, im not really too sure but i guess a window unit could keep the room cool enough for them, would it be better for me to run 2 400 watt hps/mh lights or a 600 watt, or something different?

In a 3x3 600w will be awsome but just a 400w will be great. I wouldnt put 2 400s in it. Even 3 mature plants will most likely take up a whole 3x3 tent, I dont think actually putting the ac in the tent is a option but you could try it. With a 8k btu portable right at the passive intake of my tent ( not actually ducted into my tent ) I can keep my temps 70° if I wanted to a foot away from a 1000w aircooled hood. I would recommend a window unit over a portable though. I plan on building a box so next summer I can use a window unit without the window.

Would you want 4 plants in a 3x3? Just because it's a square, and you put one in each corner.

And yeah, use a 600 watt.

I figured you'd put an A/C outside of the tent and vent it in. A good window A/C (if there is such a thing) might cool the room, but you definitely need to vent it into the tent.
Keep us posted.
