Air Conditioning and Vent Odor Control Question

Hello,

I'm trying to cool a grow room with a portable a/c unit. I've noticed the portables need to be exhausted out of a window. I have two questions, is there a a/c unit that does NOT need to be exhausted? The second question is what the methods are to use odor control if venting must be done.

I do not want to exhaust out the window, however venting out into the attic is a viable option for me. In the room, I have an carbon filter attached to the exhaust fan that is blowing into the attic. There is a bathroom that I could vent the a/c to. I was thinking of cutting a vent hole into the bathroom and attaching a smaller exhaust/carbon scrubber to.

What are your thoughts and what are some other viable options to use while trying to keep spending affordable (around $500-650 USD)

the exhaust isn't air from the room, it is air that has been blown across the compressor to cool it. i have used portable ac units and no smell comes out of this exhaust.

thats my own experience anyway, maybe different units work in different ways but i never had a problem with smell coming through the ac.

good luck kid
