As good as a regular split system...mine are mitsu p series intended for server rooms and such...they were not cheap though

I've never needed to heat my rooms, but if I did I would go that route.

I doubt I'll have to, but I want to change my whole house over to a heat pump setup and I was thinking why not for the grow room too?

From what I have been told...heat pumps are not considered a primary heat source...here in toronto you would still need a furnace or should still have one because the heat pump has minimum ambient operating temp.
