Air exchanged per minute versus ambient temp outside of cab

Is there a general ratio between the air exchange times per minute versus the temperature of the cab compared to ambient temp outside of the cabinet?

i am trying to figure out if my cab will stay cool with my setup before I buy the fan.

I am running a 150w hps in a cool tube attached to the carbon filter and the fan I want is 100cfm so lets say 50cfm with the filter. My box is only 5 cubic feet. This makes me believe the air will be exchanged 10x per minute.

Do you think this is will suffice?

thanks very much.

That is fine mate
Thank you. I appreciate the response. What is this based on is there a general rule for how many times per minute it will take to cool a certain cubic feet? Maybe I'm worrying too much. Haha.

i think the rule for co2/o2 exchange is once every 5 minutes but for keeping something cool faster is usually better but there will be a point where the bulbs surface area wont let it cool down as fast as your fan wants to. Not with 100 cfms though.

Id get one of those fans for an intake as well set up at canopy level pulling air in. This will help the exhaust a little as well.

Thanks man. I think my box is a bit small for that to work correctly to keep my cab cool. Bookmarked this for future use though.

It says my box needs a 13cfm fan and that will never keep things cold.
